WEDNESDAY, JULY 28th, 2010, in KEY WEST with LYNDA!!!!

DEAR READERS…

As you may be reading this, Bob and I are on our way back to Rose Cottage at Chippewa Lake, Ohio. We have had a full, wonderful ten days here in Key West.. celebrating my birthday ALL ten days….enjoying being with so many wonderful friends here….going to favorite restaurants and nightspots….Key West has always been a healing place for me….it is like any woes or problems I may have, are lifted from my shoulders. It revitalizes and lifts me up….ever since 1985 when I started coming to this glorious place I now call HOME! Bob has closed all the shutters just in case of a hurricane…..the porch & patio furniture have been stored away….and it is time to leave. I always mourn leaving….but have gotten better about living in the moment and enjoying the place I am when I am there. I will continue to try to send out my daily info….remember to go to my website at www.conchtv.com if you do not hear from me. Sometimes time will not allow. Wish us well as we journey North, and do continue to keep my dear Mother, Queen Adele Stevens, in your thoughts and prayers. I will be spending lots of quality time with her while I am there…..

AQUA IDOL UPDATE!!!!!

It is official! Michael McCabe is the new Aqua Idol for the Waterfront Playhouse! Runner up, is the lovely, Amy Pesola. And in third place is the always fabulous, Traci Reynolds! Aqua Nightclub was filled to overflowing with Fans and supporters, and everyone there enjoyed a fantastic show! After the superb songs performed by Michael and Amy…..guest singers, Bruce Moore, Bobby Nesbitt, Maj Johnson, Yoa Hardardottir, and the amazing Terri White, just back to Key West after her performances on Broadway in Finian’s Rainbow and Chicago, took to the stage! It was a sensational night of musical entertainment. Thanks so much to Randy Thompson, our great emcee…to all our past judges, Tony Konrath, JT Thompson, Maj, Martha Robinson, Bruce Moore, etc. To Jill and Sandy for giving Aqua as the venue for these wonderful Aqua Idol Competitions to help non-profits in town….and to each of you who came week after week to support our very special contestants! And to Karl Stahl who worked so hard behind the scenes. And most of all, congratulations to Michael McCabe our Idol, who was so very deserving!

KEY WEST PEOPLE’S THEATER PRODUCTION…

Tomorrow, Thurs. July 29th, is opening night of PTKW. The play, by author Ayn Rand, is NIGHT OF JANUARY 16th, and it is a clever audience-participation Whodunit! It will be held at 8:00 PM in the St. Paul’s Parish Hall on Bahama street, behind the Duval Street Church. Tix are only $15 and can be bought at the door or inadvance by calling 294-6813. This play has a cast of 14 talented actors…and will also be presented on the 30th, 31st, and Aug. 1st. Please Support the People’s Theater of Key West!
