This is outrageous! For the past 28 years Paul Findlay has BEEN Bayview Park….he has lived and breathed Bayview Park!  It seems his job is in jeopardy and that should not be. BOBBY NESBITT FANS TAKE HEED!!!!                                           The always wonderful Bobby Nesbitt, will soon be going on hiatus from entertaining in Key West until November! Please note the following in regard to his performance schedule this month of July. Bobby’s final night at Salute with Skipper Kripitz will be Friday, July 15 from 6 to 8 pm…now in the bigger, cooler room! Bobby will be at The Gardens for his final three evenings on Thursday, July 14, 21, and 28. His final two performances at Beachside Marriot are Saturday, July 16 and 23. Make sure you stop by for one last Bobby Fix before he departs. He will be going on another great road trip with Mike and in Sept. and Oct., he will be performing during Oktoberfest in Munich, Germany! Exciting! But he sure will be missed in Key West!!!!!

CONGRATS TO GAYLA MORGAN……                             Gayla Morgan has written a musical about Mary Magdalene, and she has been in NYC casting this production which will be presented in NY on July 19th. Her show was a finalist in the O’Neill theater competition. MONNIE KING NAMED NEW ARTISTIC DIRECTOR OF PEOPLE’S THEATER KW……     We congratulate Monnie O. King on her installation as Artistic Director of The People’s Theater of Key West.  Monnie was awarded an M.A. Classical Acting, emphasis on Shakespeare, from the London School of Speech & Drama in 2003.  She has studied with luminaries as Dr. Rob Clare, head tutor of acting; Giles Block, The Globe Theatre for verse; Claudette Williams and Cicely Bery for voice; Liz Rankin, Royal Shakespeare Co. for movement; Malcolm Ransom, RSC for combat.  Monnie has acted on the London and South Florida stages and penned several plays that have won awards and have been produced both in Key West and Miami.  She was an invitee to the Kennedy Center Play Writing Intensive in 2009.  She holds an MBA from Loyola University.  She and her husband Peter, also a fine actor, left the business world to live in KW in 2000.  To learn more about the People’s Theater go to www.peoplestheaterofkeywest.com.
