PUN OF THE DAY…
A skeptical anthropologist was cataloging South American folk remedies with the assistance of a tribal Brujo, who indicated that the leaves of a particular fern were a sure cure for any case of constipation. When the anthropologist expressed his doubts, the Brujo looked him in the eye and said…”let me tell you…With fronds like these, you don’t need enemas!”

GIVING THANKS ON SUNDAY…
Singer and Aqua Idol Contestant, GAYLA MORGAN, is “thankful to be living in the Key West Community….a group of people who care for each other, support each other, who love it here…that these people nurture, preserve and value creativity and beauty. Thanks to Heather Carruthers for being a convincing advocate for my moving here…and to Martha Robinson, for taking me under her wing, and making sure I meet everyone in town….and lastly, I am thankful for having found the perfect little home on Fleming St. to move into.” Gayla went on to say thank you to me for sending her the list of events happening daily in this town we all love! That was very sweet….and a BIG Thank you to Gayla, for helping the Waterfront Playhouse by competing in Aqua Idol every Tuesday evening! You have a beautiful voice!

MORE SAD MOVIES….
I thought of another movie to add to the List of Tear Jerking Movies, that Shirrel Rhoades, reviewer for Solares Hill began! It is called TWO FOR THE ROAD…one of my all-time fave movies starring Audrey Hepburn and Albert Finney. Two of Bobby Nesbitt’s choices were It’s A Wonderful Life and Saving Private Ryan…and I couldn’t agree more! And there was an old movie on AMC that I recall seeing years ago.. cried my heart out…..It was called Penny Serenade, and starred Cary Grant and Irene Dunne as a married couple who could not have a child. It was SO terribly sad. Another from about that same era was Sentimental Journey and starred John Payne, Maureen O’Hara and William Bendix…..Ten hankies at least!
LAST NIGHT…
We met new delightful friends from PA, Taylor & Ginny Doebler at Alonzo’s and had a yummy dinner…then we all went on to the OPERAFEST at the Waterfront Playhouse! Kudos to Ralph Garcia Jr. who was outstanding in his featured numbers! King Ralph Sr. must be bursting his buttons with pride for his son’s talents! It was a marvelous show, and shame on anyone who missed it!!!! Keep Donna Roll in your thoughts and prayers as she is facing some challenging health issues! What a special and wonderful lady she is…and we cannot thank her enough for bringing these amazing singers to perform in Key West! Lots of emotion was spent in tonight’s concert and many people had tears in their eyes! After this great concert, we went to the Pier House to hear the super, Christine Cordone….and then to Aqua Lounge to see the 11 PM Reality is a Drag Show! It was soooo funny and hilarious….the place was packed, and there is nothing more fun than having all the drag queens in town know you! What a delightful evening! Just another special evening in Key West!!!! And we just love Randy and Inga!! (Where was Faith???)
Love to YOU…and Remember….
Just because you may have pain…does not mean you have to BE one!
