SUNDAY THRU WEDNESDAY TO-DO’S!!!!

FEBRUARY 19TH thru FEBRUARY 22nd, 2012, in KEY WEST WITH LYNDA!!!

CLOSING NIGHT OF DEAD MAN’S CELL PHONE….We attended the final night of The Waterfront Playhouse Production of “Dead Man’s Cell Phone” on Saturday, Feb. 18th. A great audience loved this show, and our actors were all in rare form! Congrats to Brian Beach, Robin Deck, Shakti Assoulade, Stephanie Yosen, and Lela Elam who knocked it out of the park on closing night! Great to see the Domanskis in the audience, who loved the show….plus, Mabry Binnaker, Skilly, and so many more who I AM SURE, enjoyed every minute! Good also, to see Joy Hawkins and John Wells….plus Mary Ann Davis and her handsome hubby. Congrats to Danny Weathers and the Waterfront Playhouse on another great and successful presentation! We are so blessed in Key West to have such great theater in this 2 by 4 town! Amazing!!!!!

“GOD OF CARNAGE” at the RED BARN RUNS THRU MARCH 10…. Directed by the amazing, Joy Hawkins, this Tony award-winning play is about 2 couples who meet to discuss an altercation that occurred between their sons….Civilized manners soon give way to a rumble in the living room as we watch these really good actors behave terribly, inciting the kind of laughter that comes from the gut! This play runs through March 10. Call the box office at 296-9911 or go online to www.redbarntheatre.com to reserve your seats! We saw this play on Thursday, Feb. 9, with a full house audience, and it was very well done! The four actors….Mimi McDonald, Bob Bowersox, George Murphy and Annie Miners, did a great job conveying parents of battling children who are all battling within themselves. It is very funny and yet you wonder if their children may be more adult than they are. My husband, Bob and I both found this show to be one that you can’t help but wonder how these couples fare when they are at home in the confines of their rooms! It is a play that challenges you to think and to examine your own relationship….and it can’t help but bring up some memories of how you may have reacted badly when your own children were youngsters. Great show Red Barn!!!!! Congrats!
