LE PETIT PARIS RESTAURANT…..We stopped by this absolutely delightful new restaurant at 825 Duval St. and it really is a special spot! Owner, Robert Konopka, formerly of Tavern ‘N Town, has put his heart and soul into making this the place to go to! We were absolutely thrilled to see Audrey Samz greet & welcome us as the hostess…she is Super Girl, you know, and we all love Audrey! We sat outdoors on a beautiful evening, nicely lit with umbrella tables…just about every table was taken…. soft jazz was performed by Peter Diamond and Tim McAlpine, a classy and nice touch…..We were elated to see Ric Palmer there as a server, and he too, formerly of Tavern ‘N Town (where he had a great following!!!) was charming everyone in sight! It was also great to see familiar faces like Bill & Marti Roberts and Joyce Stahl dining there, all enjoying their meals to no end! Le Petit only opened a few months ago, but the word is out there that Robert aims to please. Open from 8 am to midnight, they have a terrific young chef…..you can get yummy breakfast, lunch and now delectable dinner dishes there every single day. I loved my scallops and the warm goat cheese salad was to die for. Everyone at our table had big satisfied smiles on their faces. It was all the wonderful songs from World War II, and the audience loved every moment! As ever, Bobby wove stories connected with world events during this time and it was perfectly done….funny at times, and then very moving. It was exciting that Chelsea Clinton happened to be in the audience, attending with Judy Blume and George Cooper. She had a huge smile on her face the whole evening so I know she, too, loved the performance!

WATERFRONT PLAYHOUSE INSTALLS LOOP SYSTEM FOR HEARING IMPAIRED!!!!!…..The Waterfront Playhouse is NOW fully ADA compliant for hearing impaired…and that is B-I-G!!!!! With the help of a wonderful donor & the Florida Hearing Loop Systems, our theater goers who are hearing impaired can come to the theater and hear every word onstage!!!! The entire stage picks up sound & transmits it wirelessly to T-Coil enabled hearing aids as well as cochlear implant users. The system also came with loaner portable receivers and headsets for hearing impaired individuals who do not have aids or T-Coil equipped hearing aids. The quality of the system has been tested and the signal is extraordinary! We welcome ALL theater goers to come to the Waterfront Playhouse and enjoy every single moment…not just visually, but audibly!!!!
