AQUA IDOL……Just want to tell everyone how GREAT Aqua Idol was on our first night, Nov. 27th!!!! Fifteen Glorious singers graced the Nightclub Stage to sing their hearts out for the benefit of The Waterfront Playhouse! Every single vocalist knocked it out of the park and earned $1,230 that first night! DEAR READERS……In this Addendum you will find all the future events, show schedules, reviews I may write, restaurant specials, and continuing ads and miscellaneous things of pertinent items sent to me….etc. I hope you will enjoy this new feature….so I can keep the “Daily Events List” a tad briefer than before. QUEEN KATHLEEN REVIEW…..Bob and I had the great pleasure of attending A Night with Thee Queen Kathleen & Friends….”Out of the Box”, an apt name for this unique show!!!…. At Tennessee Williams Cabaret on Nov. 29…. It was quite a happening to say the least. The band was Joe Dallas, Matthew Fat Back Watson (drums), and Michael Gillis and they were exceptional, as this production was really loosey goosey….very laid back and it happened as you went along. There was a program, but that was not generally followed …..and yet the band was able to follow through all night long. Peter Diamond and Cliff Sawyer also performed and as always, did great….Queen Kathleen breezed into Key West about 5 years ago from Chicago….she would show up at various venues and sing and had her children with her….they went everywhere that the Queen went…it was something to behold. It still is. She is blessed with an amazing voice…..and an even more amazing personality….totally uninhibited, you never know what she will say….and she can be hilarious! Her show was NEVER dull….we actually enjoyed every minute…it was SO Key West! This show was filled with family high lights…..Her children are now teens and beautiful, and her daughter, Princess Myah joined the Queen onstage to sing a beautiful Amazing Grace. Also joining Queen K for a good portion of the show was her sister Cynthia Diva Sartin, who came in from Chicago. She was fabulous….what a gifted family! One of my favorite moments was when the Queen and Cynthia were joined onstage by Cliff Sawyer for a moving rendition of At Last! I think the audience loved the evening….hopefully Queen Kathleen will become more well-known in Key West, as she deserves a bigger audience! Note that you can see more of Queen Kathleen, as she is a contestant for the Waterfront Playhouse Aqua Idol. Come on every Tuesday at 6:30 pm, to get to know this remarkable and interesting talent in Key West!!!!

WATERFRONT PLAYHOUSE INSTALLS LOOP SYSTEM FOR HEARING IMPAIRED!!!!!…..The Waterfront Playhouse is NOW fully ADA compliant for hearing impaired…and that is B-I-G!!!!! With the help of a wonderful donor & the Florida Hearing Loop Systems, our theater goers who are hearing impaired can come to the theater and hear every word onstage!!!! The entire stage picks up sound & transmits it wirelessly to T-Coil enabled hearing aids as well as cochlear implant users. The system also came with loaner portable receivers and headsets for hearing impaired individuals who do not have aids or T-Coil equipped hearing aids. The quality of the system has been tested and the signal is extraordinary! We welcome ALL theater goers to come to the Waterfront Playhouse and enjoy every single moment…not just visually, but audibly!!!!
