SIX DANCE LESSONS IN SIX WEEKS FEB. 1,2,5,6,7,8,9…This delectable show, starring Joy Hawkins and Denis Hyland, opened to a full house at The Waterfront Playhouse on Thursday. It is destined to be a big hit! This play is about a formidable widow who opts to hire a dance instructor for 6 weeks of private lessons. When they first meet, it is Hate at first sight when….but as the play unfolds, their relationship evolves and…hmmmmm….Let me tell you there is a whole LOT of chemistry going on and many heartfelt surprises!…. The sold out audience loved the show. This play is perfectly cast…..Denis is a dreamboat, and he is someone we would all love to have show up at our door to teach us cha-cha and tango lessons and the like….. and Joy is perfection… the Southern Belle with a bite….and a soft spot in her heart…..Of course these two meet, and then share some tall tales about who they are….and before long their friendship blossoms and they learn to truly care deeply for one another and they really open up to one another….. ANNE O’SHEA WANTS INPUT…..Producer, Anne O’Shea is one of the producers of ‘ANN ON BROADWAY’….a play written by and starring the wonderful actress, HOLLAND TAYLOR (who has a recurring role on 3 ½ Men and was so great on Boston Legal)…..which opens in preview at The Vivien Beaumont Theatre at Lincoln Center, Feb. 18th….with a March 7th official opening. It is a one-woman show with Holland Taylor playing the former Texas governor ANN RICHARDS, whom we all loved for her wit, charm and personality. Anne O’Shea is interested to find out who from Key West may be interested in being a part of a contingent to fly to NYC sometime during the production…. so this is kind of a touchy feely kind of request. You have to remember that Aquarians are completely different from every other sign…something sets them apart from everyone else.
