Key Changes

Captain Dan Mobley has over 30 years experience as a composer, arranger, and performer. He's performed in Key West for the last 13 of those years, with jaunts to the "real world" (US and Canada) in the summer.
Before moving to Key West, he hosted "The Dan Mobley Music Show" weekly on Sarasota cable. Harry Chapin was a guest on his last Florida tour.
Dan was voted Suncoast "Entertainer of the Year" multiple times, and was awarded "The Humanitarian Award" for his work toward saving the Florida Manatee through public speaking and benefit concerts to raise funds for waterway markings.
Dan has recorded eight albums during his musical career. One of these albums was recorded at Jackson Browne's "Groovemaster" Studio in LA. Featured on this recording are backup singers Rita Coolidge, Marilyn Martin and Timothy B. Schmidt of the Eagles. Garth Hudson from The Band also contributed. Famed bass player for James Taylor and Phil Collins, Leland Sklar, also performed on this album and remains a close friend. Sid Page, who has been head conductor for many movie soundtracks, conducted the LA. strings. Michael Utley, who has produced Roy Orbison and many Jimmy Buffet albums, was producer.
Other albums include; a soundtrack for the PBS. Documentary entitled Gulf of Mexico, America's Shining Sea, Key West Solo, Following The Path of The Moonlight, No Wake, Key West Christmas Card, Key Changes, and Metamora to Key West. Key Changes features songs co-written with long time friend Shel Silverstein, well known children's author and songwriter.
Dan has performed with The Allman Brothers, Roger McGuinn, John Prine, Air Supply, The Beach Boys, Marty Robbins, Poco, Guy Clark, The Byrds, Dottie West, The Turtles, Melanie, The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Jimmy Buffet, Brewer and Shipley, Bertie Higgins, Sea Level, Michael Johnson, Three Dog Night, and many others.
