IN MEMORIAM……SAD TO HEAR…..IN SATURDAY’S CITIZEN….  I was deeply saddened to hear about the passing of two long time Key West Friends…. Steven Ness, owner of Canvas Creations in Key West who passed on Feb. 23….what a delightful character he was!  Also Tom Vetter passed on Feb. 25….he and his late wife, Jane were a very special couple.  Steve and Tom will be deeply missed.

CONGRATS TO COFFEEMILL DANCE STUDIO!….  We have supported Penny Leto and her Studio for years…. but I tell you… We went to the Dance Collective Concert at Tennessee Williams  Theatre last eve and the show was phenomenal.   Penny and Ballet Instructor Joey Goodman have raised the bar in Dance in Key West.  This is a most talented group of dedicated and beautiful dancers who have aspirations to pursue careers in dance…. and after seeing this show, we are definitely believers in their lofty goals.  Act I was variations from the ballet, COPPELIA and there were SO many truly wonderful moments.  Also, the second Act, mostly modern and interpretive dance  were executed masterfully!  The soloists were all first rate…. and there are some younger dancers waiting in the wings who stole our hearts.  BRAVO!!!!  Hearty congratulations.  Wonderful things are happening at The COFFEE MILL!
