DID YOU KNOW?
Cinderella’s slippers were originally made of fur. The story was inadvertently changed by a translator in the 1600’s, who confused the very similar old French words for “glass” and “fur“….verre and vair, respectively!
VERRE INTERESTING!

FOLLIES IN WASHINGTON DC….
This brilliant Sondheim Production will be held at The Kennedy Center in Washington DC in the Eisenhower Theater. Tix will go on sale Jan. 30, 2011. The show runs May 7 thru June 19th. May 21st will be the Grand Opening with a fabulous Cast Party (and we are hoping to be there on that evening!). I am so excited that our own, TERRI WHITE is starring in Follies as Stella Deems. We are so thrilled for her and for Donna Barnett, her talented life-partner! We all first met Terri when she worked and sang at The KEYS Piano Bar….(and don’t we all miss The KEYS???)….She wowed us night after night as we fell under her spell. Then she landed a wonderful role in the revival of Finian’s Rainbow in NYC, and we all went there to see this amazing musical. After Finian’s, Terri appeared as Matron Mama Morton in the musical Chicago, in NYC! She and Donna will soon be returning to Key West for a month or so, and will be performing several shows onstage at Lateda’s Crystal Room! In January Terri will be back in NYC appearing at Feinstein’s on Jan. 9, 16, and 30th. She returns to Key West to star at the San Carlos for the Waterfront Playhouse on April 16th. You will not want to miss ANY of her shows!!! By the way, other amazing stars appearing with Terri in Follies are, Bernadette Peters, Elaine Paige, Linda Lavin, Susan Watson, Terrence Currier, Florence Lacey, Jan Maxwell, Rosalind Elias, David Sabin, Regine, and, I hear, Ron Raines has also been cast. He and Terri recently performed in their dynamite production and fundraiser for AIDS Help for Queen Anne O’Shea! How cool is that? Sorry to be so long winded…but this is all such great news I had to share!!!!
