Now, after months in the ICU, she dismissed from the hospital and was able to drive home to Key West with her loving parents! Sometimes we pray for miracles and the impossible….sometimes we pray to just cope with the results of what happens to those we are praying for. Sometimes we pray for strength to go on and to accept…sometimes we pray for thanksgiving. We are in this thing called ‘Life’ together….and we all have power within us to help our fellow man. HUGH’S VIEW AT THE NEW STUDIOS….Hugh Ware, the delightful father of Jeffrey, passed away this year. He left his mark on all of us who had the great pleasure to know and love him. Jeff always told his dad, to not worry about leaving money to him after he died…that he should spend it and enjoy his life. Of course, Hugh still left an inheritance to Jeff and Rosi….and guess what…Jeff thought of a wonderful idea to use that money to pay tribute to his Hugh, who happened to adore Key West! The money is going to ensure that the new Studio Bldg. on Eaton St. will get a lovely Rooftop Garden and it will be called HUGH’S VIEW!!! It will be open every night and offer panoramic views over Key West….Since the LaConcha closed its rooftop viewing area, this will be a welcome evening oasis!!! Events, exhibits, and a bar will be there. We need your help! Over $300,000 has been raised for this project but monetary contributions are still needed. Please mail donations to Jeff Ware, 1400 Olivia St., Key West, FL 33040. Make checks out to TSKW, and indicate your donation is specifically for HUGH’S VIEW… Write that in the memo line. This will ensure that all contributions to the fund will ONLY be used to complete the Roof Garden. (Note that this is separate from any contribution you may make to The Studios, itself.) Support beams have already been completed. Work for the Garden is slated to begin in early June, 2015. Jeff is hoping for it to be open before the end of 2015 so that all who loved Key West and Hugh, can be there to raise a glass atop HUGH’S VIEW, around this time next year. The more money that can be raised now, the more spectacular the Rooftop Garden, will be!!! Jeff and Rosi Ware thank you from the bottom of their hearts for your thoughtfulness and generosity! For any more info contact Jeff at jcwkeywest@comcast.net.

MY RANT OF THE DAY….KEEP KEY WEST CLEAN!!!!!…I love this town…with all its quirks and wrinkles, beauty and charm…..The most wonderful people in the world live here!!!! And….People in Key West deserve a clean Island!!!! Yesterday, as I did some errands and parked at several shopping centers….I looked around to see litter and filth strewn everywhere…..Who is in charge of these centers? Is there no clean up crew? Someone should be held accountable!!! It was very windy, and rubbish, bags, and junk were flying every which way. What must our tourists think who have heard about how great Key West (and it IS, in spite of the debris!)is? Can nothing be done? We who live here must demand that our public spaces be kept clean! The same for Duval St. another part of Key West that I love dearly….Can’t store owners send someone out every few hours to sweep up and pick up the debris that people throw on our sidewalks? Is this a losing battle? Am I naïve to think that if everyone did their share, and kept up, it would all be so much more inviting to locals and visitors. Last week on our way to the Tropic Cinema, walking from Caroline St. to Eaton, I filled a plastic bag with trash that people just leave on the sidewalks….I keep picturing that Indian on TV…remember him?…the one who has a tear in his eye as he sees how people treat this country that he loves. Anyway, for what it is worth…just thought I would share….and please don’t be one of those folks who say, ‘If you don’t like the filth, move away!’ That ain’t gonna happen…. It is just about having some pride in your environment, as we ARE the keepers of the earth while we are here, right? Amen!

SAGITTARIUS PERSONALITY….NOVEMBER 23 TO DECEMBER 21

One of the great things about a Sag is their irrepressible optimism. They are convinced that everything will always work out for the best. This attitude has helped them through many a storm. They keep a positive attitude and sense of humor…and when things get tough, they are able to find the silver light at the end of the tunnel. This is also one of the luckiest signs of the Zodiac. Sags are enthusiastic and always keen to take the initiative and make things happen. They don’t like to sit around and watch the grass grow…they like to have new and exciting projects that keep them on the go. Otherwise they get fed up and depressed. They need something to aim for. Goals are very important to Sags, preferring challenges to walkovers. Once they achieve their goal, they are on their way to the next target!

Life is always lively with a Sag around…they enjoy discussing ideas with friends and loved ones. They are intellectual and enjoy stretching their minds….their homes are full of books, and have a tremendous respect for knowledge. They pride themselves on their honesty, hate hypocrites and yes men. Sags are also known to exaggerate a bit…and sometimes they are more blunt and direct than you would want.

One of the most popular signs, people can’t help but flock around the Sagittarian. They radiate a friendly force-field, are terrific company and laughter never seems to be far away. They have a lot of friends! People appreciate their open and straightforward manner. Sags cannot stand to be tied down or hemmed in by a partner. They need to be able to lead their own life and not feel that someone is always peering over their shoulder trying to police their every move. The Sag will let their partner know if this is annoying them. If you love a Sag, they need their space. Sags enjoy sex, but the most important need in a partner is one who will be a friend as well as a lover. That friendship is something sorely needed long after the passion fades. Anything else is not good enough. The best signs for a Sagittarian are Gemini, Leo, and also Libra, Aquarius and Aries.

In careers, Sags are very sociable and like to be surrounded by lively colleagues, and are popular in their workplace. They like jobs that keep them on the move…not stuck behind a desk. Sags are ideally suited to career in education, publishing, writing, broadcasting, philosophy, and travel. They love money and enjoy spending it. The most exciting thing to them about money, is what it can buy. They prefer casual clothes to dressing up and are not impressed by designer labels. They have a weak spot for cars…especially those that are sleek and distinctive and that cost a fortune.

WE LOVE OUR SAGITTARIAN FRIENDS AND FAMILY MEMBERS!!!
