IN CONCH COLOR…
Don’t you just love reading Conch Color? It is just the best, and Tom Oosterhoudt never gets enough accolades for all he does to promote every single event in Key West. I want to mention something that really tickled me from the recent Mar. 11-15 issue. It appeared on page 11. Tom had lunch with one of his childhood idols, Paul Stookey (Noel is his real name.). Paul was the Paul from Peter, Paul and Mary, famed folk singers from the 50’s and 60’s. He and his wife were in town for a month and he mentioned to Tom that he got see the Randy Roberts Show at Tennessee Williams, and said that he “just LOVED the Tap Dancers!!!! ” Is that cute or what? Of course, I was one of those 14 Tap Dancers from Bruce Moore’s Class whom he was referring to. That sure made my day! Paul also mentioned enjoying Bobby in the Lobby! I would say that Paul NOEL Stookey has great taste, and we sure hope he moves to Key West! Maybe we can get him to join our Class if he does move here as he is thinking! To all my “fellow” tappers….You know you have arrived when Paul Stookey sings your praises!
Happy March 11th Birthday to five very special people….to good friend and brilliant lawyer, JERRY COLEMAN….to that darling TONY MARTINEZ, whom we love to pieces….to musical genius ROBIN KAPLAN, who does so much for the KIDS in Key West….to carpenter and dancer, PATTI “SPOT” SPRAGUE … and to singing sensation from Philly, BABE ROBINSON, who performs at The KEYS Piano Bar!
Love to YOU…and Remember…
Let us always meet each other with a smile…for the smile is the beginning of Love!
