BILLY CARTLEDGE IS THANKFUL…
Billy wrote to me that he has spent a week shared with family and friends. As he walked on Virginia Beach, he watched the kids play in the surf. He observed the wonder they found in the smallest little sand crabs and jellyfish, and he got back a small part of his own childhood…and, as Billy stated, “It felt Good!” He and Jim held a neighborhood cookout, invited everyone around, and met neighbors they had never even seen before, and everyone had a wonderful time! So, Billy added….”I am thankful for my family, especially the kids, for they force you to see things that were long forgotten….and for the neighbors, without whom there would be no community….and Most of all, to the little sand crabs and jellyfish…for reminding me how small we are in a great big world.” And we, all need that reminder now and again. We get so busy and self-absorbed that we often forget the little things in life that are so special, and remind us to be children again! Thanks, Billy for your special message and heartfelt observation!

For anyone out there, who may be wondering how I feel about LaBron James going to the Miami Heat….this is my answer…..First of all, I am totally disgusted with the way he went on national TV to announce to the world, that he is leaving Cleveland, and the most devoted fans anywhere. I believe in Karma….I believe he made a huge mistake. In reality, the way he handled the whole thing was so thoughtless and cruel….his actions showed what he really thought about this area and his fans here. Remember…it was He who tanked the playoff games with the Celtics. I think he planned to leave Cleveland a long time ago, when he became friends with Duane Wade in the Olympics, and, when he was in the playoffs, he thought….”Gee….if we win this, then I would be forced to stay in Cleveland…so I better tank this.” … and, in my opinion, that is exactly what he did. He totally knew he would be hurting the very city that had taken him to its heart. When people do these kinds of things, knowingly, they never really cared in the first place! So to LaGone James I say……”You join Art Model in being at the top of the list of most detested persons in Cleveland!” I said it, and now it is time move on!
