REMINDERS WHILE I AM AWAY

SEPTEMBER 12 UNTIL OCTOBER 5, 2011, in KEY WEST with LYNDA!!!!

HEADING FOR ITALY ON WED.…… On Sept. 14th, Bob and I will be heading for Europe…..mostly touring through Italy, one of our favorite countries….revisiting wonderful places we loved (Rome, Florence, Venice) and places we have never been to (Perugia, the Lake Como area, the Italian Riviera, Verona, Assisi, etc.)…..One exciting part of this trip will be visiting Key West friend and neighbor, Jerry Galeana at her Villa in Tuscany (Resina). Bob has hired a personal driver and tour guide for most of this vacation. We will be in Germany on 10/1 thru 10/5 and will hook up with dear friend, the fabulous Bobby Nesbitt, who will be performing at the famous Pussar’s Nightclub, in Munich for Oktoberfest! Wish us well as we journey…..will be gone 3 weeks…..should be wonderful. Bob has been laboring over countless Italy tour books. I tell you all of this, as I will be on hiatus from sending anything out until after we return in October. You will have to rely on Conch Color, Paradise, and all other KW publications! Thanks for understanding.

NANCY STEVENS UPDATE… I ask for special thoughts and prayers directed toward Nancy Stevens. Nancy and I went to high school together. Married to my brother, Ed, for 23 years, she is the mother of nieces, Sally and Jennifer Stevens, and nephew, Ed Stevens, Jr. After Ed and Nancy’s marriage ended, we remained the best of friends. She is like a sister to me, and both Bob and I love her. She is one of those people I can ALWAYS count on. On Friday, Sept. 9th, she underwent brain surgery. The surgery went as expected and she now faces a lengthy recovery process. Nancy’s attitude is amazing…..she is taking it all in stride and refuses to let this get her down. This will work in her favor. Please join me in adding Nancy to your prayer list. Even though you may have never met her, if you would like to send her a card and message of support, her address is Nancy Stevens….5794 Turney Rd., Garfield Hts., Ohio 44125. Let her know you are my friend. Receiving mail and hearing that people care is a great elixir. She will recover at her home, and subsequent decisions will be made on procedures Nancy will need. Thank you so much.
