HUSBAND BOB’S E-MAIL IS COMPROMISED! …..Please note that my husband, Bob Frechette, had his e-mail compromised yesterday. Subsequently, he lost his entire e-mail address book. If you are on his list or want to be, please send your e-mail address to him at rfrec59@bellsouth.net so he can put you back in. This whole thing has been quite traumatic. Because I had received this type of letter from others I know who were hacked, I was aware that it was a scam right away. Not everyone was aware. Sadly, money was sent to this scammer by someone who received this message, believed Bob was in trouble and wanted to help. I am so upset with what has happened, as is Bob. Readers….please be careful out there. I thank all of you who let us know you received this message and voiced concern. It took all day for Bob to get this straightened out…had to change his password, and make reports….a real mess!

MAJ JOHNSON SHOW REVIEW…..The wonderful Maj Johnson took to the stage in a cabaret show at Tenn. Wms. It was a tribute to Sarah Vaughan and it was sensational! Maj was in superlative voice….with carefully selected songs….super musicians with Skipper Kripitz, Joe Dallas, and Dom Carelli…..and also a little bit by Larry Smith! Maj did Sassy Sarah proud. Her “Send in the Clowns” was breathtaking and one of the best versions of that song I ever heard. I was emotionally drained after it! Congratulations to Maj Johnson, one of Key West’s best singers. Below is something I sent out in regard to my husband Bob’s recent misfortune to have had his e-mail password stolen and then compromised.  After I sent this out, it was absolutely amazing the great response I received from our community of caring and loving people.  As you read, you will understand what I mean.  Thanks for your support and love.  There is no place on earth like Key West, Florida!!!! As you already know, Bob had a rough week.  His e-mail was compromised.  A letter was sent by someone pretending to be Bob…saying that he was on a trip in London, where he was mugged…everything stolen…credit cards, money, passport, etc…It went on to say that he desperately needed $2,100 to help him get out of this jam and asked for help.  Now, I had received this type of message many times, so I knew immediately it was a scam.  Also, most of you out there who received it, knew it was a scam.  Nevertheless, many of you called and wrote to let us know they had received this and to take control of the situation.  Unfortunately, there was one person that we know who never received this message before and fell for the scam.  Her name is Zulma Segura, and she is the owner of Colombian Grace Restaurant.  She was concerned and answered the e-mail.  She asked the person pretending to be Bob, a series of questions, that convinced her that it really was Bob making this request and that he was in real trouble. The scammer knew all the answers to questions she thought only Bob could answer….they are that devious.  Bless her heart, she followed the directions this scam artist gave her, and wired him $2,100 from Western Union.  Now, you know I sent an e-mail blast to everyone informing them to NOT answer the e-mail….that it was a scam, etc.  Zulma did not read that message until after she reacted and sent the money.  She got suspicious that she may have been taken, when she received another message requesting more money.  Then she called and asked how Bob was doing, and I told her to not send anything…that it was a hoax.  She said it was too late….that she had already sent the money.  The whole thing is so sad.  Zulma, with her big heart, cannot afford to do what she did.  What I am going to ask you to  as a favor to us, is to please stop in at her restaurant and dine there now and again.  She is struggling to stay in business, as she competes with Blue Heaven and Santiago’s Bodega, which are always full.  Bob and I love her restaurant.  I have tried promoting it in my blasts.  Those who have tried it out love it too.  The food is delicious….her yellowtail snapper and Mother’s Casserole, are to die for… as are all her meals.  The restaurant is located at 223 Petronia St.  Her phone # is 527-6449.  My heart aches that she fell for this awful scam, and having friends who care about us, could help her by trying out her super restaurant, and hopefully, she could recoup her lost money quickly!  Thanks to you.  Love, Lynda   PS  I received so many messages from you who agreed with me on Colombian Grace, and who were angered by what happend.  So many said they would definitely try out this restaurant….many already love Zulma and CG and will continue to support it wholeheartedly.  That is so gratifying!  Thanks to all.
