KW FRINGE THEATER ANNOUNCES AUDTIONS for SEMINAR……JULY 15….Monnie King, artistic director for the FRINGE THEATER…..announces two great shows this season!!! Auditions for them will be held on Sunday, July 15….SEMINAR, from 11 am until 2 PM at the Moose Lodge, at 700 Eisenhower Dr. Available roles include 2 males and 2 females in their 20’s to early 30’s. The first production is SEMINAR…..which closed on Broadway in May. This is it’s first post Broadway production. It received rave reviews and starred Alan Rickman, and later, Jeff Goldblum. It was written by TV and Broadway veteran, THERESA REBECK, who is the creator of the hot new TV show, SMASH! Directing this play will be Tony Award winner, DENNIS ZACEK, of the famed Victory Gardens Theater in Chicago, IL. “We are truly fortunate to have a talent of his caliber directing in Key West, and thrilled that it will be a Fringe production,” says King. “It is a spectacular coup for our theater, and an unprecedented opportunity for the community. It is a great chance for young persons to audition for and to be “seen” by a director of national stature. SEMINAR is about 4 young ambitious writers who explore their mettle in a high priced seminar, led by a jaded novelist/editor, with almost telepathic hyper-critical skills with no diplomacy. Fabulous actor, Michael Mulligan will be palying this part. This play will run Feb./March.
