Thanks to Dean Walters for this one……Assyria was running low on cash after years of war with the Hittites. The King’s last great possession was the Star of Euphrates, the most valuable diamond in the ancient world. Desperate, he went to Croesus, the pawnbroker, to ask for a loan. Croesus said…”I’ll give you 100,000 dinars for it.” “But, I paid a million dinars for it,’ the King protested. “Don’t you know who I am? I am the King!”, Croesus replied…”When you wish to pawn a Star, makes no difference who you are.”

Please send me your thoughts on what you are thankful for! It does not have to be something amazing and earth shattering! Some of the most special moments which render us thankful are small and lovely, heartfelt moments. I would like to share them with our readers. They warm the heart and lift the spirits, and we need to hear these special moments from YOU!
QUESTION OF THE DAY….
Another question to ponder and consider….For a person you loved deeply….would you be willing to move to a distant country, knowing there would be little chance of seeing your friends or family again?
LAURETTA WALLACE….

DEAR READERS….
I urge you to continue to let everyone you know that the false information that we are receiving, that we are contaminated by the oil spill, is WRONG! We all hate the oil spill and what it is doing to other parts of the country and their waters, but we are FREE of Oil and we must let everyone know that. Tell people to go to https://www.conchtv.com/users-images and see the videos, and see the photos that let the world know that our beaches and waters are oil free! Thank you! Your help is needed!
IN MEMORIAM…
Today, we remember the wonderful Dick Freund, with great joy and love!
He is deeply missed!
With special July 6th Birthday wishes to LOUIS PETRONE!
Love to You….and Remember…..
If you ever lent someone a 20, and never saw that person again…it was probably worth it!
