Cindy Lu, one of Key West’s fave country singers, and former Aqua Idol sent me this poignant Thankful Message. (Since I did not have a Thankful Thursday Column, I am including it now.)
“I am thankful for the angels who walk amongst us….most notably Hospice volunteers and workers, altruistic, kind, gentle, warm and caring….who give the act of dying so much dignity. My dad passed away on Sat., 8/28, and, with all of his children and loved ones gathered at his side, we watched his spirit leave his earthly body and at long last, go in peace. I am comforted and thankful by the fact that he is no longer in pain, and that he had all of us surrounding him at the end.”
