AQUA IDOL TONIGHT!!!!!
I am so excited to be celebrating my 39th Birthday at Aqua Idol tonight! I am looking forward to a great crowd to root for our final contestants! Tonight, one of our glorious contestants will be eliminated. Then, the final 3 will each sing 5 songs! We need you there to support the contestant of your choice! Remaining entrants are Traci Reynolds, Michael McCabe, Amy Pesola and Bill Heller. Each has given their ALL for the Waterfront Playhouse! All tips they earn go to support this wonderful Key West Theater! Showtime is promptly at 6:30 PM. Randy Thompson is our faboo emcee, and Tony Konrath and I will be judges, with another judge there too! Next week, July 27, will be the Grand Finale! The final two will be announced, and they will sing their hearts out for the Title of Aqua Idol Waterfront Playhouse! The winner will be announced at the end of that evening! All Tips earned that night will be added to what they earned the week before…and then the Winner will be Recognized! It will be a night to remember! All that Jazz will be hosted by Michael Shields today from 3 to 4 PM…..His special guest will be Clayton Lopez, our commissioner, who will talk about his singing career in Key West through the years! Dick Moody, will be back to host the show in two weeks!

Tickets actually went on sale yesterday for ONE NIGHT STAND, at the Studios of Key West, 600 White St. Artists, writers and actors will unite on Aug. 6, work on getting a play done so it can be presented on Aug. 7th. Because there is so much interest, they have two shows…..one at 7 and one at 10PM. Tix are $20. Go to www.keystix.com or go to the historic Armory to buy your tix at the White St. address. This is truly a “Happening” in the Arts community, and you will be amazed at what will be presented!
REEF RELIEF MEETING….

NEW GALLERY OPENING….
An exciting new gallery, Frangipani Gallery, owned by Fran Decker will be opening at 1102A Duval St. in November. Fran is looking for artists in all media. HEMINGWAY DAYS BEGIN TODAY…
From now until July 25th, it’s Hemingway Days in Key West. The town will be crawling with Hemingway Look-Alikes from all over the world! I AM VERY THANKFUL….
For dear Chippewa Lake Friends, Pam & Paul Vereb, for taking care of our adorable Cat, Purr-Lee, while we are here in Key West….and also for being kind an generous friends, who open up their hearts and arms to us always, and who are also such great fun to be with. I am thankful for my beautiful niece and goddaughter, Sally Stevens, and her husband, Robert, for taking us to dinner the night before we came to Key West, to celebrate my birthday…and who showered me with some wonderful presents. They are so dear and thoughtful and caring and giving and stunning, too! They also, really love my mother the Queen, and always look after her well-being. Someday, I hope that Pam and Paul and Sally and Rob will all live in Key West, as they, too love this wonderful Island Paradise!!!!
