NEW FAB RESTAURANT IN TOWN!!!!…We have always loved The Grand Café on DuvalSt., owned by the super lovely Maria Wevers. Now she has opened another sensational new restaurant called SOLO…..and…if you haven’t tried it, I say Run….Don’t Walk! The ambiance is fabulous….very sophisticated and classy…no longer a sports bar, but a place to go for amazing food!!! Chef Jay has come up with a delectable menu….just reading about the various salads, appetizers, and entrees made me swoon. We opted for the crab cakes, and the Osso Bucco Short Ribs that were memorable. I cannot wait to go back again and again and to sample everything on the menu. There was not a single thing that I would not enjoy!!! SOLO will have a daily happy hour from 4 to 6 pm, where all appetizers and drinks are half price. People will be upset that I am raving about this place, as they want it to be kept a secret so throngs of people don’t take it over making it difficult to get reservations. But good things like SOLO are meant to be shared…..and thankfully, this is quite a large space so there is room for all of us!!!! The restaurant is located on Greene St., just past the Greene Street Art Gallery. They do catering, and their wait staff is delightful. It was special to be greeted by MaryKay Lee, of KW Contemporary Dance Co., and Justin Karpa, our server was first rate! Maria was also there, and she is just glowing with SOLO….Congratulations, Maria, on this super restaurant! Five stars from Bob and Me!!!!

THE AQUARIUS PERSONALITY….JANUARY 21 THROUGH February 20
You have to remember that Aquarians are completely different from every other sign…something sets them apart from everyone else. The typical Aquarian approaches life from a very different perspective than most people. Each Aquarian is a being completely original and innovative. They are totally independent. They follow the beat of a different drum and need to go their own way through life. Loved ones who try to stop them or hold them back will soon discover how useless this policy is. If anything, it will make the Aquarian even more determined to do their own thing….and if no likes it, Tough! Once the Aquarian has made up his mind about something you will go blue in the face trying to persuade them to change it. Even if their decision is difficult for everyone else, they still won’t budge. They are totally unpredictable too. Even if you think you know how an Aquarian will react, they will probably take you by complete surprise and do the very opposite. This is all part of the fun of knowing an Aquarian. Usually, the present is of much more interest to an Aquarian than the past. The here & now is their focus, not what happened a week ago. They have their finger on the pulse of the future, and are light years ahead of others in their thinking. They also operate on a predominantly mental level. They are capable of distancing themselves from situations so they can view them objectively, thus making them seem dispassionate, and even heartless at times…but to them it just means they don’t get swept along by emotion or sentiment. Instead they can simply deal with the facts. Aquarius is the friendliest sign of the zodiac, and they work hard at being chummy with everyone they meet. They value their friends and need to know they are there for them even if they don’t get together very often. They like everyone to love them but only have several very close friends that they rely on for everything. In love, it is vital for an Aquarian to choose a lover who is also a friend. To them the most important relations in their life begin as friendships, with love only arriving after they have established a strong platonic rapport with each other. It is very hard for an Aquarian to love someone if they do not like them too. They also seek partners with a good intellect as they get bored silly if the conversation never progresses past what they saw on TV last night. An Aquarian partner must also respect their need for independence, as they hate to think someone is constantly keeping tabs on their every move. They loathe relationships where they are joined at the hip to their partner. This would make them feel stifled. Although the Aquarian needs to feel that they can come & go as they please, they have trouble giving their partner the same freedom that they want for themselves. The best signs for an Aquarian are Libra, Gemini, Leo and Sagittarius. Aquarians need fulfilling jobs. They are drawn to humanitarian and charitable social work. Being self-employed is ideal for them because they like being the boss. It is not easy for an Aquarian to take orders from anyone, especially if the Aquarian feels he knows more than the boss! Aquarians are happy to help anyone out in a crisis. They will happily bail out a friend in need. They also have a love-hate relationship with money. They love what money can afford them to do and they relish bouts of extravagance, but they hate the way it sucks them into a consumer-led society.
