FABULOUS SHOW AT THE CUSTOM HOUSE….

I had the great pleasure of taking time to enjoy the new and wonderful exhibits at the Custom House! This majestic building houses some amazing treasures, and I ask that you to explore and enjoy all of them. In addition to fabulous the Seward, Hemingway, The Maine, and Sanchez exhibits, the new one dedicated to Flagler and the Railroad, is quite spectacular! I got lost in the fascination of it all…it is done beautifully….filled with photos, clothing, old wonderful film footage from that bygone time, artifacts, and stories from another era, when Key West welcomed the Railroad for the first time on Jan. 22, 1912. This exhibit is called “Speedway to Sunshine” and it was written and raved about in yesterday’s Miami Herald. Awhile back, I remember asking the Grande Dame, Wilhelmina Harvey about riding the train when she was a young girl, and she spoke glowingly of getting all dressed up to take the train to Miami. Her eyes sparkled when she related her memory of it. Congratulations to Claudia Pennington and her Board and all involved in creating this magnificent display! I urge everyone to visit the Custom House. And one more thing…the Gift Shop is one of the best ever!

Great to celebrate the birthdays of Terri White and Bunnie Smith!!! What fun to meet and toast to these two wonderful ladies! Great to see Kate Miano, the Russs’s, Billy Cartledge, Lee Garrison, Vince & Karen Taporowski, Mark Watson and his new adorable squeeze, and so many more! What a fun night!

We just had the opportunity to have another fabulous dinner at this gem of a restaurant! And, I just got a lovely message from Leigh Pujado and Matt Rawls, who tried it out and RAVED about it to me!
