THE CORONATION RECAP…..The Coronation Ball at Southernmost on the Beach Café was a marvelous KW Event! Super venue for this event…delish buffet…. Great performances by Bruce Moore, Gayla Morgan, REDD Smith Vizard, the 801 Girls, and many more….. I congratulate our 2012 King MarKEY Patterson…and Queen, Liz Ketchum… and to Duke Seth and Duchess Sue. They raised thousands of dollars for AIDS Help…..they truly are Key West Royalty in every sense of the word!!!!

TAVERN ‘N TOWN ON SATURDAY NIGHT….So great to stop in pre theater, to see Bobby Nesbitt at the piano and singing all our fave songs….Great to see the Camerons, Susan and Eloise Keiser, Ruth & Steve Cottrell, Kevin & Donna Gallagher, Sue Bailey and her hubby, Kathy & Vince Melendy, Bunnie and Jack, the Blooms, and many others. It was a special evening and a great time was had by all! By the way, I hear Bruce Moore showed up 5 minutes after we left!

WATERFRONT PLAYHOUSE INSTALLS LOOP SYSTEM FOR HEARING IMPAIRED!!!!!…..The Waterfront Playhouse is NOW fully ADA compliant for hearing impaired…and that is B-I-G!!!!! With the help of a wonderful donor & the Florida Hearing Loop Systems, our theater goers who are hearing impaired can come to the theater and hear every word onstage!!!! The entire stage picks up sound & transmits it wirelessly to T-Coil enabled hearing aids as well as cochlear implant users. The system also came with loaner portable receivers and headsets for hearing impaired individuals who do not have aids or T-Coil equipped hearing aids. The quality of the system has been tested and the signal is extraordinary! We welcome ALL theater goers to come to the Waterfront Playhouse and enjoy every single moment…not just visually, but audibly!!!! THE SHINGLES!!!!!…..I just heard from one of my readers that her husband is plagued with an horrendous case of the Shingles….affecting his forehead, face, all his senses….he has no energy, is in constant great pain surrounding his eye and head. It can be very serious especially in the facial area. She highly suggests that everyone get a shingles vaccination. I think I have to agree with her. Better safe than sorry, right? ALSO, I encourage flu and pneumonia shots too!!!!
