CHRISTOPHER PETERSON AT AQUA NIGHTCLUB!!! …..A full adoring Packed House experienced a bit of magical Key West History on Thursday, February 15 as the fabulous CHRISTOPHER PETERSON, in all his splendor…presented his very first Extravaganza in THE BIRDCAGE, his new Cabaret Room  at Aqua Plex at 504 Angela St.  Christopher was in his element and he featured super entertainers, ELLE…MAYA…&..JESSICA DEVEREAUX….It was great fun, excitement, and amazingness all evening long and the audience went wild, giving well-deserved Standing O’s throughout  the evening!   The costumes were over -the- top spectacular…..and the Entertainment was all brilliantly done!  This new Spot is a real highlight in Key West that will be a superb success!!!!!  Owners of AquaPlex, Mike and Jon Barrett have a huge HIT on their hands as The CHRISTOPHER PETERSON BIRDCAGE is already  the talk of the town!!!  The Grand Opening will be March 1 & 2!!!!  Google Aqua Plex website and then hit Reservations and then click on Birdcage Cabaret…then choose your dates.  Congratulations to Christopher Peterson for producing, directing, writing, designing, and starring in your wonderful new Show of Shows!!!  (Hope you also read Peter Arnow’s wonderful review on FACEBOOK!!!)

AUDITIONS FOR SHOWS FOR THE 2024-25 SEASON AT WATERFRONT PLAYHOUSE….MON., FEB. 19….To audition, please prepare a 2-3 minute monologue.  Bring a picture of yourself and a resume of all your theatrical experiences.  If interested in Musicals, prepare 16 bars and bring sheet music.  An accompanist will be provided.  For this season, the Theater is specifically seeking 2 teenaged males for Lost In Yonkers, which starts rehearsal at the start of April and opens on April 25th and runs through May 11.  For an appointment, please contact Patrick New, Artistic Director for next season and director of Lost in Yonkers.  Email him at pnew.waterfront@gmail.com.  Auditions will take place at The Waterfront Playhouse at 407 Wall St. by the Sculpture Garden and Mallory Square. *****’SINGIN’ IN THE RAIN’ FINALE WAS FEB. 17…..AT WATERFRONT PLAYHOUSE….This production was one of the most wonderful,  jam-packed-with talent Musicals EVER in all of Key West!  We were there for a third time on Closing Night and the full house audience LOVED EVERY SECOND!  The superlatives used by audience members were truly deserved!  Congratulations to artistic director Tom Thayer and Set Designer, Michael Boyer who raised the Theater  Bar SO VERY HIGH!  What a joy it was to have Jordan Thomas Burnett, Jillian Todd and Riley Vogel fill the fab shoes of Gene Kelly, Debbie Reynolds, and Donald O’Connor…..They were Perfectly Perfect in every way!!!!   Choreographer, Carolyn Cooper…just one word WOW!!!!  You challenged these fab Three, plus all the actors, with intricate and challenging routines and they rose to the occasion… Dancing and singing their way into all of our hearts!!!  Congrats to….Belle Jampol, (comedienne extraordinaire)… and to every single actor who were superb in their roles…..Kathy Russ…John McDonald…Mathias Maloff… Dominic Paollilo…Zach Franchini….John Swann… Barbara Mundy…. Cassidy Timms… Ray West…. ***A SPECIAL GIG TO SPREAD JOY AT POINCIANA GARDENS…All musicians and entertainers who may want to help in spreading cheer and joy to the residents of the Poinciana Gardens Assisted Care Housing at 1664 Dunlop in Key West, take heed…..On the Third floor of the Gardens, are Residents who are not very mobile. If you are interested in performing for approximately 45 minute to an hour during the 4 to 6 pm time slot, please contact Sandy Higgs at 305-797-6992 and please leave a message if she does not answer with your contact info.  Her email is higgswest@aol.com.  You can also contact Ed Swift’s office at 305-294-4142 and leave a message with Hope, Ed’s assistant. This is a paying job.  Note that the divine BOBBY NESBITT volunteers his time and talent every Thursday at 5 pm… and raves about how much fun it is and that it’s his favorite thing to do in town!!!!  Maybe you can help out once a week …maybe once per month….they are flexible… Let them know and also if you need access to a piano or not… or if you bring your own instrument, etc.
