A TIME TO REFLECT & REMEMBER!!!

SEPTEMBER 5TH SEPTEMBER 12TH, 2011, in KEY WEST with LYNDA!!!!

HEADING FOR ITALY SOON…… On Sept. 14th, Bob and I will be heading for Europe…..mostly touring through Italy….revisiting wonderful places we loved (Rome, Florence, Venice) and places we have never been to (Perugia, the Lake Como area, the Italian Riviera, Verona, Assissi, etc.)…..One exciting part of this trip will be visiting Key West friend and neighbor, Jerry Galeana at her Villa in Tuscany(Resina). Bob has hired a personal driver and tour guide for most of this vacation. We will end this trip, Oct. 4th, in Munich, Germany, and will hook up with dear friend, Bobby Nesbitt, who will be performing at the famous Pussar’s Nightclub, for Oktoberfest! Wish us well as we journey…..will be gone 3 weeks…..should be wonderful. Bob has been laboring over countless Italy tour books. I tell you all of this, as I will be on hiatus from sending anything out until after we return in October. You will have to rely on Conch Color, Paradise, and all other KW publications! I will try to send out something over the weekend before we leave. Thanks for understanding.

NANCY STEVENS……Dear Readers, I ask for special thoughts and prayers directed toward Nancy Stevens. Nancy and I went to high school together. She was married to my brother, Ed, for 23 years, and she is the mother of nieces, Sally and Jennifer Stevens, and nephew, Ed Stevens, Jr. After Ed and Nancy divorced, we remained the best of friends. She is like a sister to me, and both Bob and I love her. She is one of those people I can ALWAYS count on. She and my mother were also VERY close, and they were great friends. Anyway, Nancy is facing a really major health crisis. A brain tumor was detected, and on Friday, Sept. 9th, she will undergo brain surgery. We are all deeply concerned. Nancy’s attitude is amazing…..she is taking it all in stride and refuses to let this get her down. This will work in her favor. At this point, we are told that no one will know the extent of the tumor until the doctor goes in and takes a look. We are hoping and praying that this will be a non-invasive tumor, and that it can be removed and then treated. Please join me in adding Nancy to your prayer list. Even though you may have never met her, if you would like to send her a card and message of support, her address is Nancy Stevens….5794 Turney Rd., Garfield Hts., Ohio 44125. Let her know you are my friend. Receiving mail and hearing that people care is a great elixir. I will keep you posted on her condition. After the surgery, she will recover at her home, and subsequent decisions will be made on procedures Nancy will need. Thank you so much.

PS PLEASE GO TO THE BOTTOM AND SEE THE COMPLETE VIRGO BIRTHDAY & ANNIVERSARY LISTS!

THE VIRGO PERSONALITY…..AUGUST 24 UNTIL SEPTEMBER 23

First of all, Virgos are perfectionists. They like to do things properly and get mad at themselves if they think they’ve turned in a second-rate job. They will fiddle with it endlessly trying to improve on what they’ve done, worrying about the most minute detail. They may wake up in the middle of the night wondering if they forgot something….and then they can’t go back to sleep. But…when you want something done, who do you call? The Virgo, of course…. who will stick to the job until the results are perfect!

Virgos are wonderfully methodical, efficient, and sensible and are a tower of strength in a crisis. People rely on them, and often take them for granted. A Virgo’s opinion of himself is usually lower than everyone else’s because they often make more of their failings than their assets. Virgos have a very high standard, and they can be a tad critical, sometimes harsh and unsympathetic. But remember, they are much harder on themselves than anyone else. They do not like to draw attention to themselves, preferring to blend in with the crowd rather than stand out. They like classic clothes, conservative colors, and their fave colors are navy, black and gray. They like to look neat and well turned out, they rarely look messy! Virgos have a hard time expressing emotion, as they dislike revealing their vulnerable side. Those attracted to Virgos find it hard to live up to their high standards. Virgos are very brainy….they enjoy analyzing situations and need a partner who will talk things through. They need to be with someone intelligent…anyone who does not have fluff for brains! They are hot stuff in the bedroom…..but oddly are often tongue tied when it comes to actually expressing how they feel. Virgos make great agents, accountants, secretaries, teachers, writers, critics, scientists, lawyers, doctors, and nurses. They have inquiring minds and they need a job that stretches their brain, We all love our VIRGO friends!!!!
