I AM THANKFUL ON THURSDAY… I am very thankful to have had as dear a friend as Bruce Moore has been to me! We met around Bobby Nesbitt’s piano about 9 years ago, and we became fast friends. He sang “God Bless the Child” and blew us away! What a great fellow he was, and how wonderful that we stayed close friends all these years. Now he is going back to the bright lights of Broadway…We wish him nothing but the VERY best…and we will welcome him back to KW whenever he chooses to return!!!! I am thankful that SO many people showed up to give Brucie a warm and loving sendoff last night at Aqua Nightclub. It was a night to remember…and for that I am deeply thankful.

HOUSING NEEDED FOR ONLY 10 DAYS…PLEASE HELP…. The upcoming Waterfront Playhouse musical, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, opens on March 3. One of our actresses, the lovely, Kristen Michelle, is starring in this show, and we desperately need accommodations for her. She will need a bedroom and a bath and some household privileges. The dates we need accommodations for her are Feb. 20th until March 3rd…only 10 days (An angel came through for us for the rest of the time!) GALA BENEFIT CONCERT AT THE STUDIOS…FEB. 11TH… Herbert Weissberg, former principal flutist with the Vienna Symphony, and Alexander Swete, world renowned classical guitarist, join together for a special musical event. Guests will learn about Hemingway’s lifestyle & writings while enjoying 5 half-size cocktails, featured in his stories. They will be freshly made and served ice cold, as Papa liked them. The presentation will be by Philip J. Greene, the legal counsel for the Museum of the Amer. Cocktail in New Orleans. Enjoy this unique program, the wonderful cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, with a selection of wine and beer. Tix are $75 in advance and $85 at the door. The event begins at 6 PM and ends about 8 PM. It tells the story of Henry Flagler who had the Overseas Railroad built connecting Key West to the mainland. You will wish that you had lived in that era as you read and listen to accounts of the construction and the memories of those who had traveled on this Wonder of the World!
