Congrats to the Waterfront Playhouse on another wonderful run! “Glengarry Glen Ross” closed last night, and we saw it again for the third time! Like fine wine, each time we “drank it in”…it got better! The amazing cast, composed of Quincy Perkins, Glenn Wilson, Brian Furlong, Peter Haig, Brandon Beach, Tom Murtha and Mook J., deserve awards for their spot on performances! And George Gugleotti, director, did a superb job. The sets by Michael Boyer are award caliber…and Carmen Rodriguez did a super job with costumes! What a fabulous evening at the theater…..no wonder the Waterfront was voted BEST Professional Theater in Florida!!!! BRUCE MOORE HAS LEFT THE ISLAND….
Bruce is on his way to New York….the car, packed to the gills, with all his stuff and his two cats… headed for the Big Apple. He should be arriving in NYC today! ( Let me know if you want his NYC address.) On two nights only, March 7th and 9th, Bruce will be presenting shows at The Metropolitan Room at 34 West 22 St. at 9:30 PM. Produced by Blake Hunter and directed by Scott Barnes, it is titled “Bruce Moore…No Moore the Boy Next Door!” All proceeds will go to benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS! So if you are in NYC at that time, or are looking for a bit of a break from the Rock….take in this sure to be great show. We will be there! We wish Bruce only the very best on this new adventure!!!! It tells the story of Henry Flagler who had the Overseas Railroad built connecting Key West to the mainland. You will wish that you had lived in that era as you read and listen to accounts of the construction and the memories of those who had traveled on this Wonder of the World! The museum is open every day from 9:30 to 5 PM…..All other exhibits are great too…as is the gift shop! And LOCALS get in Free on Feb. 20th.
