HAPPY JULY 5TH BIRTHDAY TO…..VINCE MELENDY…PAMELA BEAVER…BETH PIZZO…GREG CHAPLIN!!!!

THANKFUL THURSDAY……I want to give a great big Thanks for the wonderful time we had traveling thru PA from June 26 thru July 1st. I am thankful for the warmth and hospitality by our hosts in Newport, PA, Marti & Bill Roberts, who welcomed us with open arms and open hearts. And also to Dick Norford and Kay Fullen, who were so delightful and gracious when we visited with them in Dauphin, PA. We had a great time with these lovely folk and were touched by their kind and generous treatment. We do love you all!

ALSO THANKFUL FOR…….the sensational time we had in Gettysburg, PA. The whole trip to PA began when our friend, BRUCE MOORE, informed us that he was presenting a show in his hometown of Gettysburg…..a benefit for the Musical theater school there. We were thrilled to be in attendance of his super show, “There’s No Business Like Show Business”….a tribute to Irving Berlin. The theater was filled with an audience who enjoyed this show and were so receptive. To all of you Bruce Moore fans…. He was fabulous! I am so thankful that we were able to be there to share in this wonderful evening of musical entertainment with his family and so many others who loved every minute. Bruce is ba-ack and in great form….his voice was super and he tap-danced…. and even had his sister, Kathy McDougall up on stage for several delightful duets. The high light for me was Bruce bringing me up on stage to be a part of his “Dancing Cheek to Cheek” number….a surprise and great fun! We also must give thanks for Bruce’s parents, Pat and Carey Moore, who treated us like royalty and the whole family who included us like their family! Thanks for a most memorable trip.

And one more thing…..we had never been to Gettysburg, and we loved it! It’s a charming town filled with amazing history….and we hired a private tour guide to take us through the Battle Fields there. His name was Jim Archer, and he was fabulous. All in all……it was a wonderful Road Trip, and I am thankful that I got to share it with my dear husband, Bob!!!!!
