The fact that we never finished this Event, with some of the finest vocalists ever…. has haunted me. We tried scheduling this event last November…and then the Delta and Omicron variants appeared, so things were cancelled again. Knock on wood….we are thinking that we can finally hold this ONE NIGHT ONLY GRAND FINALE on March 21. Mark your calendars…. PLACE: AQUA NIGHTCLUB, 711 DUVAL ST… …MONDAY, MARCH 21….FROM 6 TO 8:00 PM!!!! Our fabulous remaining contestants performing two ‘knock- it- out- of -the- park’ songs are…..BOB WOOD….BRIA ANSARA…. UPDATE ON THE FRECHETTES……We are still searching for a place to reside during our next go-around in Key West. There is just not a lot on the market right now. We are thinking that if we do not find something in the next month or so we will consider renting as an option…until something we want to purchase arises. If anyone knows of any place that you think would suit us, let me know if you have a lead. We are exploring and open to many options.

CONGRATULATIONS TO DESTINY AND JOE TRIPP…. Destiny Montgomery recently married the love of her life, Joe Tripp on Feb. 19. They are a wonderful and talented couple who make beautiful music together. Both sang for me for Aqua Idol and raised lots of money for the Waterfront Playhouse and Destiny went on to be a Fantasy Fest Queen and very active all around Key West as is Joe. We wish them all the love and joy in the world.
VERY SAD TO SAY GOODBYE…. So I won’t…I will say….UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN! Our treasured friends, Rita Linder and Perry Arnold are departing Key West and moving up to Delray Beach. We have been great friends since Bob sold them their home in the Meadows way back in 2004. An added bonus was that Bob and Perry were like brothers, both sharing Nov. 13 as their birthday. Rita and I spent many a Nov. 13 celebrating ‘Our Boys’ special Day. Rita and Perry have been very involved in Key West…serving on many Boards of non-profits…making things happen… raising money….giving great legal and medical advice….being active in The Arts all over town. Perry, in fact, recently was presented with a commendation by the KW City Commission for his great work in ART IN PUBLIC PLACES. To quote AIPP Chairman, Richard Tallmadge…”Perry Arnold is the epitome of public service. He is dedicated, thoughtful and contributory. He served on the Board for one reason….to help make Key West a better community.” Whatever they took on, they gave it their heart and soul. I want you ALL to know, that both Bob and I are better people for having known and shared a long-time friendship with both Rita and Perry. Their active presence in Key West will be deeply missed. (There is one bit of good news… they still own a rental in Key West, and hopefully they will come often to visit.)

CONGRATS TO PARADISE BIG BAND!!!!!… As usual the Paradise Big Band, under the direction of the sensational Joe Dallas, presented a stellar show at Tennessee Williams Theatre on March 13! Everyone did an amazing job…..Great to have sax master, Tim Mayer back …smooth as silk…. and it was SO great that BRUCE MOORE was in town to sing two superb songs with the Band! That boy can SING!!!! Also it was wonderful to hear Claire Caplan and Victoria Horne, both excellent vocalists ….plus the suave Jerry Seeco!!! We love THE PARADISE BIG BAND and everyone in it!

NEW SERIES TO BE FILMED IN THE KEYS…..This series is set to film in 2022 and is based on the 2013 novel, BAD MONKEY, by Carl Hiaasen. I mention this mainly because the exec producer and star will be VINCE VAUGHN, who graduated from Lake Forest High School with our daughter, Melissa. He was a real talent back then…. and I once told him, “Vince… you are going to be a big star someday! Someday we will see your name in lights!” Then in Melissa’s yearbook, he wrote… “So great getting to know you, Melissa. I love your Mother!” Cute!!! Anyway….keep an eye out in 2022… who knows, maybe Vince will be ordering a brew from a barstool next to you at your fave saloon!/? VINCE SIGHTINGS HAVE ALREADY TAKEN PLACE!!!!!

THE PISCES PERSONALITY….FEBRUARY 20 THRU MARCH 20TH!!!
This is either the sign of the saint or the sinner…or BOTH rolled into one!
