Tunes in a Tropical Key - Winter Concert Series A Florida Keys experience that combines the splendor of the islands with the pizzazz of Las Vegas. Howard Livingston and the Mile Marker 24 BIG Band will perform LIVE at the historic San Carlos Theater Thursday evenings throughout the winter season. The doors of the San Carlos, located at 516 Duval Street (two doors south of Margaritaville on Duval Street) will open at 6:30 PM. Beer and Wine will be available in the Foyer, and the doors to the theater will open shortly thereafter. The seating is 'general admission' but there is no bad seat in the house!! What a great theater! The performance will start about 7:00 PM. Howard and the Band will perform their original music, including the latest from Howard's new CD "I'm Living on an Island." The band will include a full horn section making it an eight piece band. The accoustics are marvelous in the theater. You will enjoy every moment of this two hour concert. Historic San Carlos Theater Even many of the locals in Key West have never been to the San Carlos Institute. The San Carlos is one of Flroida's most beautiful and historic landmarks. It was founded in 1871 by Cuban Exiles of Key West as an educational, civic, and patriotic center. The building is currently open to the public on the weekends and is the home of a very extensive Cuban Museum.
