Dear Readers…..It has been a long time since we have enjoyed an up north Springtime! Must say, that we have had some lovely weather…today was about perfect! All our roses survived the bleak Ohio winter, and our garden is looking charming….”quite” charming! It was 80 degrees today, and I spent a lot of time planting…three new rose bushes, plus some violas, and ten new perennials. This next week ahead, it is supposed to be in the 80’s and sunny all week long! Please continue to keep my dear precious Mother in your prayers….she is in such a sad state of mind. It just breaks my heart to see her this way, and it is such a helpless feeling. Thanks you….and now it’s

Baby George has been making some steady progress in his recovery! There are still concerns, but slowly but surely, this little guy (10 lbs.!!!!) is determined to get well! He is more than anxious to get back home to Key West to be with his parents and sisters! All your prayers are helping in this recovery. Donna and Terri, along with Stacie and Rob Eggers, the elated parents thank y you profusely for your caring and giving ways. PLEASE READ…
I send this out day after day, and it is a huge job…especially when I am not in Key West, like now. Yet, every day, I receive only a few messages from my readers, and mostly information of what is going on that you want me to promote. I do this gladly, but once in awhile, it would be really nice to hear from you…to know that you are actually reading what I am writing and sending….to comment on my website (Have you ever even gone to it?) with the Conch Republic Media Group…. www.conchtv.com. There are over 800 people on my List…. and many of these 800 send my e-mails on to other people. And yet, many of you have still not visited the website…also, many of you have never sent me your birthdays or anniversaries, even though I have requested this over and over again. The whole purpose of why I do this is to build Community and keep people in the town I love so very deeply, in touch with each other and informed on what worthwhile events are going on. Lately, I have been under a lot of stress with what is transpiring with my Mother. Doing this night after night is therapeutic for me….and yet, I would love to hear from you now and again. You mean a lot to me and I just felt the need to share my thoughts and feelings with you. Also, if you would like to be removed from this list, please feel free to let me know. This way, you could simply go to the website whenever you may want to know what is transpiring in Key West.

RachelI meant to drop you a line the other day and tell you how much I look forward to reading your column every day. I am always looking for something new to do and often find it on your site. Before I make plans, I usually check your site to make sure we have chosen the best of the multitude of happenings here in Key West.
