THANKFUL ON THURSDAY….Just want to express my thanks for having had the pleasure of knowing Steve Turco. We attended the Memorial Celebration to honor him at Louie’s on Monday, and it was a hugely attended, heart-wrenching and very beautiful affair. Steve and his wonderful wife, Holly Merrill, have been very special to Key West for many years. Bob and I have been to a lot of Memorial services, but this one was particularly moving. The talks that were given, were from the heart, given by people whose lives were intertwined with Steve’s and Holly’s. We will long remember this marvelous afternoon celebrating Steve’s life. He will be deeply missed. His memory will forever live on.

WATERFRONT PLAYHOUSE INSTALLS LOOP SYSTEM FOR HEARING IMPAIRED!!!!!…..The Waterfront Playhouse is NOW fully ADA compliant for hearing impaired…and that is B-I-G!!!!! With the help of a wonderful donor & the Florida Hearing Loop Systems, our theater goers who are hearing impaired can come to the theater and hear every word onstage!!!! The entire stage picks up sound & transmits it wirelessly to T-Coil enabled hearing aids as well as cochlear implant users. The system also came with loaner portable receivers and headsets for hearing impaired individuals who do not have aids or T-Coil equipped hearing aids. The quality of the system has been tested and the signal is extraordinary! We welcome ALL theater goers to come to the Waterfront Playhouse and enjoy every single moment…not just visually, but audibly!!!!
