PAT WEST AND FAMILY IN AUTO ACCIDENT….Pat West and her husband Chip, and Pat’s daughter, son-in-law and grandson, were in a huge car accident as they were driving to NYC from a vacation in Maine. Pat & Chip owned and operated the hugely beloved KEYS Piano Bar for nearly 3 years in KW. Pat incurred the brunt of this accident. This happened on Dec, 30. I hear that Pat is in stable condition, soon to be removed from heavy sedation so she can breathe on her own. There were no head or heart injuries. She did break 20 ribs, her leg, and her pelvis….awful! She will have a long and arduous recovery, but she is a fighter and very determined so we must remain optimistic. AUGUST: OSAGE COUNTY AT WATERFRONT……We were thrilled to see this masterpiece of a play on opening night, and again on Dec, 28! What a sensational play….The audiences are loving it is deserving of all the accolades it is garnering. A stellar cast will make you feel like your family is totally normal! Though a drama, which won both the Tony award and the Pulitzer prize, it is really hilarious too! This family, is so outrageous you cannot help but laugh at the over the top lines that are said and the events that occur. Joy Hawkins and George DiBraud are deserving of some kind of award…they are THAT good! In fact every actor is superb……John Wells, Chris Stone, Tom Murtha, Nicole Nurenberg, Georg Murphy, Bob Bowersox, Jessica Miano Kruel, Shakti Assouline, Joe McMurray, Stephanie Yosen, and Kyle Caskey. I have word from good friend Donna Gallagher, that it took 2 hours to get through security and was a nightmare. The TSA agents warned her that they expect this to be the new norm, what with Delta, AirTran and UsAire landing 737’s. No longer in and out like in the good ole days!

We all know Randy R from Lateda Fame, but there is another Randy R, a published author of biographies, etc. This Randy R is currently working on a biography of four famous writers who lived in The Writer’s Compound on Windsor Lane….Ralph Ellison, John Hersey, Richard Wilbur, and John Ciardi. If anyone out there may have known any of these men or their families, even briefly, Randy R. would like to interview you.
