DEAR READERS…..Hoping you all had a wonderful Christmas! It was our very first Christmas in Key West……we usually are in Ohio for a week around Christmas and celebrate with our families. This year we opted to stay put and enjoy our Christmas House and our Key West Family…and we did! Thanks to Billy Cartledge & Jim Hall for hosting a marvelous Christmas day buffet in their lovely home…..and to Patrick & Debra who entertained us beautifully on a beautiful evening of Jazz at The Gardens Hotel….and then to the fabulous Christopher Peterson whose Christmas Extravaganza Show at Lateda was simply the cherry on the top of a memorable Christmas Day! Please note that I am taking January 1st off….will not be sending anything out until January 2nd! Have a wonderful week and enjoy your countdown to 2012!!!!

 

I AM VERY THANKFUL THIS WEEK……I am so thankful that my beautiful niece and goddaughter, Sally Stevens, and her super husband, Robert, will be here with us in Key West starting tomorrow! Come and meet them at Aqua Idol tomorrow evening! Sally is the daughter of my sister-in-law, Nancy Stevens, who is suffering from an incurable brain tumor. This trip will be a well-deserved getaway for them as they have been run ragged with ailing parents on both sides for a long time. Give them a royal Key West Welcome! Thank you all!

UPDATE ON WILL STEPHENS…… Richard Stephens’s father, Will Stephens, is recovering from hip surgery. If you have the time, come and visit Dad in Room 111, late in the afternoon or in the early evening, as he is otherwise in physical therapy sessions. Thanks to all of you who will take the time to visit. OUR SYMPATHY TO THE LOPEZ FAMILY……We were very saddened to hear of the passing of Mama Rose Lopez, beloved Mother of Commissioner Clayton Lopez. Our love thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time. God bless!

 

AUGUST: OSAGE COUNTY OPENS AT WATERFRONT……We were thrilled to see this masterpiece of a play on opening night, 12/22!
