The Opening of this drama, was on Thursday. This Pulitzer Prize winning play by David Mamet has an amazing cast, starring, Quincy Perkins, Glenn Wilson, Brian Furlong, Peter Haig, Brandon Beach, Tom Murtha and Mook J., and is directed by the talented, George Gugleotti. It is a ferocious comedy/drama…riveting and exciting, crackling with tension. There are a lot of laughs in this show. The acting is fabulous!!! Every single actor nails his role. Quincy, Glenn and Peter were exceptional!!!! The sets by Michael Boyer were amazing and award caliber…and Carmen Rodriguez is spot on with the costumes. BRUCE MOORE SHOW…AT TENNESSEE WILLIAMS…
This show, presented on the cabaret stage of Tennessee Williams…Sold Out….adoring fans…Bobby Nesbitt, Skipper Kripitz and Joe Dallas accompanying him….This was a magical and very personal tribute to Key West and the very special people who have been there for him from day one! It was beautifully done…..touched my heart over and over again…..the tears flowed and rightly so…..Bruce took us on a musical journey of his experiences, and we were swept up in his story. He came on in the first part, unshaven and kind of devilish…. and in the second act, he transformed himself…clean shaven and angelic! He sang some fabulous songs, as only he can…and he was wonderful in every sense of the word. By the end of the night, he had everyone in tears, emotionally drained, as he bid adieu to Key West and this town he loves so much and is leaving. We can all only hope and pray that he will return to us over and over again through the years. He is a gift….he will be deeply missed! We wanted to sing….”Stay, Just a Little Bit Longer.” Key West will not be the same without the likes of Bruce Moore!
