Please Vote NO on Issue #4!  It is one of the greatest threats to Florida’s economy and quality of life.  St. Pete’s Beach tried it and failed…it would mean higher costs for working families and job loss….It is a terrible amendment, in my opinion!       AT THE GARDENS HOTEL…10/31 If you get tired of the wild and wacky stuff going on and want some sanity from the Insanity…..Stop in at The Gardens Hotel, 526 Angela St. The D’Vine Gallery at The Gardens is open from 5 until 10 PM, on Saturday and Sunday evening!  And on Sun., Oct. 31, come and celebrate Halloween Jazz Night with Lenore Troia, Marty Stonely, and Rich Ciavolino, from 5 to 7:30 PM!  Just to let  you know that we stopped by on Thursday evening to catch Bobby Nesbitt at Cabaret Night at The Gardens, and he had a large and adoring crowd!  Bobby performs there every Thursday evening from 5:30 to 9:30 PM!  That gleaming White Grand Piano suits him well!   REMEMBERING DEAR CAPTAIN TIMOTHY BROWN…. We attended the Memorial for Captain and King, Timothy Brown on Thursday evening.  It was well attended by Timothy’s many loving and caring friends, including Bob Leiby, Nancy Robinson, Bill Welch, Kenny Weschler, Kate Miano, Vicki Gordon, Lee Garrison, Gail Lima, Connie Gilbert…the list goes on!  Lovely speeches were presented by Carolann Sharkey, Kate Miano, Celeste, Mary Thixton, and Mary Jo DaSilva, to name only a few.  Timothy impacted all our lives in such a positive way, and we all loved him and miss him very deeply.  Friends, if you have not been to the Tropical Forest & Botanic Garden lately, please stop by.  It is beautiful, and we must all support this Keys Treasure in our own Back Yard!  Hoping our commissioners will all come by to take a look at all that has been accomplished these last years.  It was the perfect retreat to hold this Memorial for Capt. Timothy!   TAVERN ‘N TOWN…. On Sunday, Oct. 31 (Halloween!!!)….It’s Michael McCloud & Friends from Noon until 5 PM….From 7 to 11 PM, it’s Latin Calypso Party with Marty Stonely & Friend…and from 9 to 1 AM, it’s the Magic of Frank Everhart!   OCT. 31….HALLOWEEN CHILDREN’S DAY… …at Bayview Park from Noon until 5 PM…Family event featuring food, games arts & crafts, contests for children and their parents!   SUNDAY BRUNCH AT THE HYATT…10/31 At SHOR American Seafood Grill at the Hyatt Key West Resort …from 11 AM until 2 PM….601 Front St.  Call 809-4000 for reservations!  Oct. 31.   CAMILLE’S RESTAURANT… We stopped at this great restaurant before the Headdress Ball on Tuesday.  People were lined up at the door before it opens at 6 PM…..This restaurant is a real favorite of Locals….and owner, Denise, gives back to this community time and again!  She flits from table to table….knows everyone, and you could understand why this is such a popular place!  Not only that, the food is delicious.  And all this month Denise has gifted Key West with Half Off everything on the dinner menu for Locals!  Amazing!  You only have 2 days to take advantage of this great offer!  Don’t forget to tell Denise I sent you!!!!  Thanks Denise!   AT THE PIER HOUSE….
