DEAR READERS….I want to thank everyone for your kind words on the loss of my beloved cousin, Dennis Stevens. We went to Ohio on Sunday to attend the services. The funeral was on Tuesday, and it was a sad yet very beautiful celebration of my wonderful cousin. Six priests concelebrated the Mass, and the eulogy was heartfelt and wonderful. Your support meant a lot.
TED WATSON PASSES AWAY, APRIL 19…..As we prepared to leave Ohio to return to Key West on Wednesday morning, you can imagine how terribly sad it was to receive yet some additional news on the passing of a very special man, who also happens to be a very dear friend. We got the upsetting news of the death of Ted Watson, the beloved father of Mark Watson, on April 19th. It was unexpected and sudden and only 3 days before his birthday on April 22. As fate would have it, Ted will be laid to rest on that day. Ted and his wife, Hilda, are a marvelous couple and their’s was truly a marriage made in heaven. They adored one another and their children Mark and Lori. We have known them for years and we love them very much. Our hearts ache for Hilda and Mark, and all in the family. THANKFUL ON THURSDAY…..I am grateful for my daughter, Melissa Lynn Lang who celebrated her birthday on April 21. She is a caring and loving daughter and we are looking forward to her visit with us in May. I am grateful for being in Ohio to honor my cousin Dennis Stevens, at his funeral this past week. He may have passed away but his memory will linger on forever. Also, we give thanks for having known Ted Watson who passed on April 19, just a few days prior to his birthday. He was a wonderful individual and we were blessed to know him and to call him friend.

TENNESSEE WILLIAMS EXHIBIT:…..Admission is FREE….Self-guided tours are available to locals and visitors at the Tennessee Williams Exhibit located at 513 Truman just off Duval. Hours are 10 am to 5 pm…Mon.-Sat. Many new items are on display, including memorabilia collected while the Exhibit was on loan to the Museo Nacional De Bellas Artes in Havana, Cuba…..Also on display is Williams’ 1932 Univ. of Mo. Yearbook, Savitar, in which one of his early poems is given a full page. Videos provide info about the life & work of the iconic author who made KW home for 34 years. People know they can trust a Taurus, for they are reliable, faithful, practical, and people to turn to in a crisis. They can be counted on! Although they are steadfast, they are also very resistant to the idea of change. It makes them feel nervous…as if everything is going to collapse around them! Taureans always take a long time to get used to any major alterations in their life, and they they can feel dislocated by change.
