LOLA FINDS A HOME WITH BILLY CARTLEDGE & JIM HALL!!!!!…..Good news is meant to be shared, and I have some GREAT NEWS for you, given to me by our close friends, Billy Cartledge and Jim Hall. Nearly a month ago, they heard on the National News about a long- haired, 9 week old Dachshund puppy, Lola, from Mobile, AL, who was thrown from a third story balcony by her owner, during an argument with her roommate. Lola suffered critical injuries, but miraculously has survived. This sweet puppy was brought to the South Alabama Spay & Neuter Centre in a comatose state with severe internal injuries. The vet gave her a 10 to 15% survival rate. When Billy & Jim heard about this they became Men on a Mission! Having recently lost their beloved long-haired dachshund, Lucy, after many years, their hearts were touched by this story of another long-haired dachshund with a 4 letter name beginning with L….LOLA! They immediately contacted the rescue agency about adopting Lola and requested that letters of recommendation be sent to the agency supporting their application. Needless to say, an outpouring of letters from friends of Billy & Jim, were sent to the agency. I personally wrote that “In my next life, I should be so lucky as to come back as one of Billy & Jim’s pets.” Over 200 people also wanted to adopt Lola. At first, they were given high hopes, but, just a couple days ago, Billy told me that he thought their hopes were diminished…..that is……Until Tuesday, May 1st!!!! On that day, they received the call they had been praying and hoping for….that they, indeed, had been chosen to adopt Lola! I have goose-bumps as I write this, as I am so very thankful and thrilled that this story has such a glorious ending! Billy & Jim will soon be flying to Mobile to bring home their new addition! To all who wrote in to support them in their quest, THANK YOU SO MUCH! We are all now Aunts and Uncles to Lola! Most of all I am thankful for such warm-hearted and loving and compassionate friends as Billy Cartledge and Jim Hall! Lola just won the lottery!!!!! And you know…..Whatever Lola wants….Lola gets!!!!! To read the whole story about what happened to Lola, go to: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/04/05/thrown-from-a-third-story _n_story_1402602.htm1.

THE TAURUS PERSONALITY/APRIL 21-MAY 21!!!!
People know they can trust Taureans.  They KNOW Taureans are reliable, faithful, practical, and people to turn to in a crisis!  You can definitely count on a Taurus!  Even thought they are steadfast, they are also resistant to the idea of change.  It makes them feel nervous, as if everything is going to collapse around them.  New things in their life are heard to get used to.  They often get into ruts as they would rather know what each day will bring, than risk getting upset when their regular schedule is disturbed.
Taureans take life at a measured pace.  They like to do things at their own pace and in their own way.  They often turn a deaf ear to anyone who tries to persuade them otherwise.  They have great determination & willpower….often turning it into a stubborn streak….you have heard of Taurus the Bull, right?  People can go blue in the face trying to talk them around, but they simply will not listen, refusing to budge!
The Taurean needs self worth and they see the accumulation of a lot of things as a status symbol.  They have a tendency to be hemmed in by their “stuff”…and sometimes, what they own begins to rule their lives.  Because of their fear of losing everything, they have a hard time breaking out in new directions.
A Taurus is the one member of the Zodiac least likely to lose their temper over trifles.  They grit their teeth and give people the benefit of the doubt again and again…until things go too far and then they blow their top.  And when this happens….Lookout!  They really know how to let it rip!
Family means to world to a Taurean, and they devote lots of time to those near and dear to them.   They keep up long-standing family traditions and love celebrating holidays with family members and long-time friends.  They make devoted friends and usually have a select circle of very close chums and prefer this over making new acquaintances.  It takes a long time for a Taurus to get to know someone, but when they do, they will be there for you through thick and thin.
In love, a Taurean has a tendency to be possessive, often making others feel as if they are his/her property.  They can be very clingy with friends and loved ones in general.
In the work world, a Taurean is a good, solid member of any team.  They may work a tad slow, but they do it right!  Self-employment is not something a Taurean prefers.  They lean toward careers connected with finance, banking, insurance, etc.  Because it is one of the best looking sings of the Zodiac, they make great models, beauticians, perfumiers, and masseurs.  They are also attracted to nature & the outdoors, such as farming, gardening and floristry.  Many are blessed with wonderful voices, so the music industry appeals to them too!
WE LOVE OUR TAUREAN FRIENDS AND FAMILY MEMBERS!

    Hi Bob and Lynda –

We had a FANTASTIC time last evening at the Clue progressive dinner. The houses were incredible — the food unbelievable — and the company divine. Thank you for opening your house to us and for all your efforts in putting this wonderful evening together. It was the best event we’ve ever attending in KW – and that’s saying a lot!

    Take care.
