Tonight, at 8:00 PM, Tom Oosterhoudt and his lovely mother, Mary Ann Worth, invite you to the 30th Anniversary of the Lorian Hemingway Short Story Competition Awards Ceremony.  This is the 15th year this event is hosted by Tom and Mary Ann at their magnificent home, Casa Antigua! This is a FREE Event, and a rare opportunity to see the splendor of Casa Antigua on Simonton St., and get to see the room where Ernest Hemingway, himself, wrote “A Farewell to Arms” so many years ago!  Father John Baker of St. Mary’s Church, will be announcing the list of winners, and local celebrity, George Murphy, will once again read the top winning entry for our enjoyment.  Over a thousand stories, sent from all over the world, were entered in this prestigious contest.  Tommy O will be emceeing,  and there will be the traditional Hemingway Pizza Party in the Courtyard.  Thank you Tom and Mary Ann for all you do on behalf of this Community we all love so much!

This Restaurant on Sunset Key is absolutely drop dead gorgeous!  It is a real Jewel in the  Restaurants of Key West….beautifully appointed in every way….wonderful seating inside with AC….very high ceilings….All tables in and out take full advantage of the spectacular Key West Sunsets.  Bruce Moore invited me there for my birthday on Tuesday, and we were treated like royalty.  The manager, Bruce Strong, went over and above the call of duty, to make our afternoon a Day to Remember!  He is a true asset to this outstanding  Restaurant….great service by Renatta, wonderful food, presented exquisitely, and not a detail was missed!  I highly recommend Latitudes at Sunset Key for a special evening.
