Y’ALL COME DOWN TO AQUA IDOL!!

FEB. 6 THRU FEB. 12 (ETC.), 2018 IN KEY WEST WITH LYNDA!!!

HAPPY FEBRUARY 6 BIRTHDAY TO…..SUSAN SERVER … MICHAEL AAGLAN … TIM KARHAN … ANDREA BAUER… (Please remember Violet Batty.)

***AQUA IDOL, WEEK # 4 ….FEB. 6…… Last week, on Jan. 30, a SRO audience was on hand to hear our wonderful vocalists belt out Showtunes for the benefit of our esteemed Waterfront Playhouse!!! We NEED YOU there! Showtime is at 6:30- 8 pm, but I HIGHLY recommend that you come early for a good seat to hear some of the best vocalists around town. You also want to try and stay for the entire 1 ½ hours so you don’t miss hearing these great voices. I also am requesting that there be NO smoking during the show in respect for our singers and non-smoking audience members!

Last week the theme was Showtunes…. And it was a glorious evening for sure! Sadly, on Jan. 23 we had to say goodbye to two marvelous contestants as Giancarlo Espesito and Elaine Nosser were eliminated. Eliminated after the Jan. 30 show were the wonderful Nikola Czerny and Randy Stindt. We are hoping that each will be returning to grace us with a final song on this Tuesday or a future Tuesday!!! Our remaining contestants will be singing your favorite classic COUNTRY Songs….Those singing will be LAUREN THOMPSON …ERIKA BUTTERS…NICHOLAS MCBRIDE… JIM SPEAKE …RYAN WOJCIK…JERRY DOWNS… ADAM SWEITZER …BECCA WHITTEN … VICKY MARTIN …JIMMY HARCUP…RICHARD QUINT……BERNADETTE RESTIVO …ROCK SOLOMON…GRACE OSBORN …and SOPHIA KELLY…….(NOTE: This week, Singing for Lauren will be TERRI WHITE…Singing for Bernadette will be LARRY BLACKBURN.) Judge Tony Konrath will be on vacation, so I will be joined by Celebrity judges, KATE MIANO (former Fantasy Fest Queen and recent honoree of the Humanitarian of the Year Award by the American Red Cross… and J.T.Thompson, creator of ONE HUMAN FAMILY!!! Other Aqua Idol dates in February are, FEB.13,20,27….thru March27. Don’t miss a one!!!!!

VOTE FOR YOUR FAVE VOCALITS ONLINE!!!! START VOTING NOW!!….You can NOW go online and donate to your favorite vocalist on the Waterfront Playhouse Website. This is how it works. Go to www.waterfrontplayhouse.org. Hit the word SUPPORT at the top of the site. Then hit DONATE. There will be several rectangular shaped boxes that will pop up under Donate…. Hit the box that says Waterfront Playhouse. Voila! All the names of the contestants will magically appear! Then, go from there. Hit the name of the person you want to donate to. Put Waterfront Playhouse in the next block if you choose… just follow the steps, using your credit card to donate to whomever you choose. All money raised online by a contestant online by 5 pm on Jan. 23 will be added to the bucket total raised by that contestant on Jan. 23. So if a singer raises $100 singing live at Aqua, and $100 is donated to that singer online, the total for that night for that singer would be $200. The singer raising the least amount on Jan. 23 will be eliminated on Jan. 30. On Feb. 6 there will probably be another double or triple elimination. Please be generous and thanks for supporting these wonderful contestants and the Waterfront Playhouse!!! (Note that it is possible for you to do this on your computer and your cell phone! Voting for Jan. 30 will begin on Jan. 31 until 5 pm on Feb. 6)

Remember, there are many reasons that we pray…not just because people are ill…. I do believe that when we all send prayers and good vibes to those in need, those prayers mystically meet and surround those being prayed for. Sometimes we pray for miracles and the impossible….sometimes we pray to just cope with the results of what happens to those we are praying for. Sometimes we pray for strength to go on and to accept…sometimes we pray for thanksgiving. We are in this thing called ‘Life’ together….and we all have power within us to help our fellow man. Bless you for remembering our loved ones….Prayer changes things! Let me know if you know of anyone who should be added to this list.

THE AQUARIUS PERSONALITY…JAN. 21 THRU FEB. 20

Aquarians are totally different from every other sign….something sets them apart from everyone else. The typical Aquarian approaches life from a very different perspective to most people. Each Aquarian is completely original and innovative. For a start, they are totally independent. They follow the beat of a different drum and need to go their own way through life. Those who try to stop them or hold them back will soon discover how useless this policy is. If anything, it will make the Aquarian even more determined to do their own thing…and if no one else likes it, tough! Once an Aquarian has made up their mind about something, you will go blue in the face trying to persuade them to change it….they simply are not interested. This single-minded determination operates in every area of their life. However, they are very hard to predict…so even if you think you know how an Aquarian will react to something, they’ll probably take you by complete surprise and do the very opposite. This is all part of the fun of knowing an Aquarian. The present is much more of interest to an Aquarian than the past. They focus on the here and now rather than get caught up in what happened a week last Wednesday. An Aquarian is light years ahead of others in their thinking. As a result, they can seem like an iconoclast, possibly even a threat, because they have revolutionary theories or go against the tide of popular ideas. They are extremely intelligent and very rational…they do not take an emotional approach to life.

This is the friendliest sign of the Zodiac….they need a lot of friends…and to know they are around….though they are really only intimate with a very select group. When it comes to love, they need to choose a lover who is also a friend. It is hard for an Aquarian to love someone if they do not like them too. Their partner must be intelligent and a good conversationalist. An Aquarian must also need a partner who respects their need for independence. They hate when someone keeps tabs on them and needs to know their every move. They do not want to be joined at the hip with anyone. They need the freedom to come and go as they like. However, they do not want to give their partner the same freedom that they want for themselves! The best signs for an Aquarian is Libra or Sagittarius…possibly an Aries and a Gemini too.

In careers an Aquarian does not want to be stuck in a dead end job. They are attracted to charity and humanitarian work. Being self-employed appeals to Aquarians, as they thrive on being their own boss. They do not think anyone knows more than they do. They do not like taking orders from anyone they feel is inferior to them. And that’s the name of that tune!

We love our Aquarian Friends and Family Members!!!
