ROCK N’ ROLL TUESDAY AT AQUA IDOL!!

FEB. 20 THRU FEB. 26 (ETC.), 2018 IN KEY WEST WITH LYNDA!!!

HAPPY FEBRUARY 20 BIRTHDAY TO…..STEPHEN HAMMOND… DAVID RUTHENBERG … CONNIE CYR …(Please remember Edith Amsterdam and Sanford Birdsy.) HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO…. DENNIS BEAVER & BERT WHITT!!!

***AQUA IDOL, WEEK # 6 ….FEB. 20…… Last week, on Feb. 13, another SRO audience was on hand to hear our wonderful vocalists belt out Love Songs for the benefit of our esteemed Waterfront Playhouse!!! We NEED YOU there! Showtime is at 6:30- 8 pm, but I HIGHLY recommend that you come early for a good seat to hear some of the best vocalists around town. You also want to try and stay for the entire 1 ½ hours so you don’t miss hearing these great voices. I also am requesting that there be NO smoking during the show in respect for our singers and non-smoking audience members!

Last week was a glorious evening for sure! Sadly, we had to say ‘Adieu’ to Jimmy Harcup…. But he will be on hand to sing his Swan Song!!!! Our remaining contestants will be singing your fave Rock n” Roll Songs….Those singing are NICHOLAS McBRIDE …LAUREN THOMPSON… JIM SPEAKE… JERRY DOWNS… ERIKA BUTTERS …RYAN WOJCIK… VICKY MARTIN… ADAM SWEITZER… SOPHIA KELLY…ROCK SOLOMON … GRACE OSBORN … BECCA WHITTEN … AND…RICHARD QUINT Joining Tony Konrath and Me as celebrity judge will be the most fabulous, CHRISTOPHER PETERSON, who will also sing a guest song!!! Other Aqua Idol dates are, FEB.27 …thru March27. You do not want to miss a one!!!!!

VOTE FOR YOUR FAVE VOCALITS ONLINE!!!! START VOTING NOW!!….You can NOW go online and donate to your favorite vocalist on the Waterfront Playhouse Website. This is how it works. Go to www.waterfrontplayhouse.org. Hit the word SUPPORT at the top of the site. Then hit DONATE. There will be several rectangular shaped boxes that will pop up under Donate…. Hit the box that says Waterfront Playhouse. Voila! All the names of the contestants will magically appear! Then, go from there. Hit the name of the person you want to donate to. Put Waterfront Playhouse in the next block if you choose… just follow the steps, using your credit card to donate to whomever you choose. All money raised online by a contestant online by 5 pm on Jan. 23 will be added to the bucket total raised by that contestant on Jan. 23. So if a singer raises $100 singing live at Aqua, and $100 is donated to that singer online, the total for that night for that singer would be $200. The singer raising the least amount on Jan. 23 will be eliminated on Jan. 30. On Feb. 6 there will probably be another double or triple elimination. Please be generous and thanks for supporting these wonderful contestants and the Waterfront Playhouse!!! (Note that it is possible for you to do this on your computer and your cell phone! Voting for Feb. 20 will begin on Feb. 14 until 5 pm on Feb. 20…all money online will then be added to the contestant’s bucket total at the end of the evening.)

PRIZE PACKAGE RREQUEST TO ALL… I love our vocalists who are giving of their time and talent for 11 weeks to raise $$$ for the Waterfront Playhouse. I try to get a wonderful prize package together for the Top 4 Contestants. I am asking for your help in this regard. Please find it in your heart to donate to this cause. You can donate cash online by going to www.waterfrontplayhouse.org… Then click on Support, and then Donate Online…. Click on the Waterfront Playhouse box, and the names of the contestants pop up along with AQUA IDOL. If you hit that, and then put the name Waterfront Playhouse in the Recognition Note box, whatever you donate to Idol will go to the prize package and is tax deductible. Then you can go from there donating with your credit card. Checks made out to The Waterfront Playhouse with Aqua Idol on the memo space are also most welcome. Remember, there are many reasons that we pray…not just because people are ill…. I do believe that when we all send prayers and good vibes to those in need, those prayers mystically meet and surround those being prayed for. Sometimes we pray for miracles and the impossible….sometimes we pray to just cope with the results of what happens to those we are praying for. Sometimes we pray for strength to go on and to accept…sometimes we pray for thanksgiving. We are in this thing called ‘Life’ together….and we all have power within us to help our fellow man. Bless you for remembering our loved ones….Prayer changes things! Let me know if you know of anyone who should be added to this list.

**UNDYING LOVE’ AT THE STUDIOS, UNTIL MARCH 3… This original musical with book and music by Ben Harrison and directed by Richard Grusin, with Larry Baeder as Musical Director is, in my opinion over the top hilarious, entertaining, outrageous and thoroughly enjoyable! Only in Key West can a story like this take place…. And that is exactly where it happened!!!! The cast is perfect…. Jamie Callahan is Count Von Cosel who is besotted with Elena, his muse, played by the stunning, Amber Good. Paula Cabot is Elena’s mother, and Heather Mae Potter and Claire Caplan add delightful interludes of upbeat songs throughout the show. Creepy as the story may seem, it’s presented with tongue in cheek humor, and funeral director and embalmer, Gordon Mackey is hilarious every time he utters a word or even makes an entrance on stage. Is there a funnier moment when he sings…’She was pickled and I poked her…’???? Showtime is at 8 pm… 533 Eaton St. For tix go to www.tskw.org or call 305—296-0458!! THE PISCES PERSONALITY….FEBRUARY 20 THRU MARCH 20TH!!!

This is either the sign of the saint or the sinner…or BOTH rolled into one! The symbol of Pisces are two fish swimming in different directions….and this describes the way Pisces can hit the heights or sink to the lowest depths. It’s a sign of extremes. Pisceans often come off as ‘otherworldly’….they are swayed by their emotions. The result is that Pisces is the sign of the Dreamer…the Visionary…the Saint! One of the most outstanding attributes of a Piscean is their kindness. They have a bottomless reservoir of compassion for others, even when they suspect they are being conned by them. They work hard for their favorite charities or local good causes….though you may not know anything about it as they don’t like advertising their good works. Many Pisceans say they go through life as in a dream, drifting and floating and at the mercy of whatever fate has to offer them. They have a great capacity to show emotion, and are easily moved to tears by TV shows that present suffering. They also struggle to face up to harsh reality. They hate unpleasant situations, harsh facts, and confrontations. They hate the awfulness of what is in the news….preferring to look at the world through rose colored glasses. They can actually deceive themselves into thinking things are better than they really are. They wear their heart on their sleeve, and what a huge heart they have!

They are born romantics, but that makes them very sensitive to hurt and pain. They pour out their affection to their favorite people. Most Pisceans are faithful…but some have a big capacity for deception and may be juggling a string of lovers! They see the best in others, which is why they have so many admirers. However, it also puts them at risk of potential heartbreak because it makes them blind to a loved one’s failings. The best signs for a Pisces are Pisces, Cancer, Scorpio, Libra, and Capricorn.

Pisceans are drawn to professions that are incredibly glamorous and artistic or those involving service to others. They are interested in careers as actors, photographers, dancers, designers, the cosmetic industry, and fashion. Many devote their lives to looking after others especially in hospitals, prisons and hospices. They can be totally self-sacrificing. They may also be attracted to the religious or contemplative life. Needless to say many are also living on the wrong side of the law. The best signs for a Piscean are Libra….Scorpio….Cancer and another Pisces.
