JIM CAMERON PASSES AWAY ON FEB. 25……One of our long-time friends in Key West, Jim Cameron passed away suddenly last Monday night.  We had just seen Jim and his wife, Cindy, at Tavern ‘n Town, where we were to listen to Bobby Nesbitt entertain.  We had a nice conversation and we talked about March 9th being their 34th wedding anniversary.  Two days later, he was gone….. so very very sad.  For many years, he and Cindy were in charge of the Ushers at Tennessee Williams Theatre… and they were recognized for the great job they did.  Oddly, we met Jim and Cindy listening to Bobby Nesbitt when he performed at the Pier House some 20+ years ago.  Jim came up to us, introduced himself to us, and welcomed us to Key West.  It was fitting that the last time we saw Jim, was around Bobby’s piano!  We shared many an evening around Bobby’s piano in many different venues around town.  He was also Jammin’ Jim on one of the local radio stations.  He will be greatly missed by Bob and me and the entire community.  You can send messages of sympathy to Cindy Cameron at:  1561 Narcissus Ave.  Big Pine Key, FL 33043.  There will be a Memorial Celebration to honor Jim’s life being planned for March 25 at a private home in Key Haven.  If you are interested in the details and information please contact Donna Gallagher at 732-977-9116 or email her at donna5751@verizon.net.  I also understand there is a Memorial for Jim at a church in Big Pine Key on March 23 but do not know the details.

WILD WEST GALA ON MARCH 8TH… I predicted that it would be the most fun party of the year…. And it really truly was!  It was over the top Fabulous!!!!!  The Armory was transformed into a scene out of a Western Oater!  Congrats to Mary Lynne Price and her fab crew who did such an outstanding job!  There were great appetizers, an Open Bar, and a full dinner too…. a scrumptious smorgasbord of delicious ‘VITTELS’  …. presented royally by the Elwell Family and the Iron Chefs!!!  The Western costumes were amazing and put everyone in a party mood…. Thanks to ALL who attended and shared in the fun while giving your support to our Theater.  Thanks to EVERYONE who bid big bucks on our Silent Auction!  It was great fun to Welcome so many great new people to this “event of the year!!!”

We become privy to the sadness and angst that Rosemary Clooney went through all her life.  I kept thinking of that saying, ‘Laughing on the outside…and crying on the inside.”  That was Rosemary Clooney!  You also find out about segments of her life that you knew nothing about….I recommend that you get tix for this show that runs through March 16…at 319 Duval St….for tix go to www.redbarntheatre.com or call the box office at 305-296-9911.

                                          THE PISCES PERSONALITY….FEBRUARY 20 THRU MARCH 20TH!!!

This is either the sign of the saint or the sinner…or BOTH rolled into one!  The symbol of Pisces are two fish swimming in different directions….and this describes the way Pisces can hit the heights or sink to the lowest depths.  It’s a sign of extremes.  Pisceans often come off as ‘otherworldly’….they are swayed by their emotions.  The result is that Pisces is the sign of the Dreamer…the Visionary…the Saint!  One of the most outstanding attributes of a Piscean is their kindness.  They have a bottomless reservoir of compassion for others, even when they suspect they are being conned by them.  They work hard for their favorite charities or local good causes….though you may not know anything about it as they don’t like advertising their good works.  Many Pisceans say they go through life as in a dream, drifting and floating and at the mercy of whatever fate has to offer them.  They have a great capacity to show emotion, and are easily moved to tears by TV shows that present suffering.  They also struggle to face up to harsh reality.  They hate unpleasant situations, harsh facts, and confrontations.  They hate the awfulness of what is in the news….preferring to look at the world through rose colored glasses.  They can actually deceive themselves into thinking things are better than they really are.  They wear their heart on their sleeve, and what a huge heart they have!

They are born romantics, but that makes them very sensitive to hurt and pain.  They pour out their affection to their favorite people.  Most Pisceans are faithful…but some have a big capacity for deception and may be juggling a string of lovers!  They see the best in others, which is why they have so many admirers. However, it also puts them at risk of potential heartbreak because it makes them blind to a loved one’s failings. The best signs for a Pisces are Pisces, Cancer, Scorpio, Libra, and Capricorn.

Pisceans are drawn to professions that are incredibly glamorous and artistic or those involving service to others.  They are interested in careers as actors, photographers, dancers, designers, the cosmetic industry, and fashion.  Many devote their lives to looking after others especially in hospitals, prisons and hospices.  They can be totally self-sacrificing.  They may also be attracted to the religious or contemplative life.  Needless to say many are also living on the wrong side of the law.  The best signs for a Piscean are Libra….Scorpio….Cancer and another Pisces.

WE LOVE OUR PISCES FRIENDS & FAMILY MEMBERS & WISH THEM A VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!
