NEED HELP WITH WOODEN STATUE REPAIR…..We have acquired two large statues composed of balsa wood. They are old and have seen better days….but we love them as they have deep sentimental value for us. One is missing a hand and a couple of birds…..another is missing a book. Do you know of anyone who could take a look at them and perhaps repair them for us? We want them to maintain their antique look but just want the missing parts ‘added’ or fixed. Please let me know at kwlynda@bellsouth.net or call at 305-295-0340. TENNESSEE WILLIAMS EXHIBIT:…..Admission is FREE….Self-guided tours are available to locals and visitors at the Tennessee Williams Exhibit located at 513 Truman just off Duval. Hours are 10 am to 5 pm…Mon.-Sat. Many new items are on display, including memorabilia collected while the Exhibit was on loan to the Museo Nacional De Bellas Artes in Havana, Cuba…..Also on display is Williams’ 1932 Univ. of Mo. Yearbook, Savitar, in which one of his early poems is given a full page. Videos provide info about the life & work of the iconic author who made KW home for 34 years. People know they can trust a Taurus, for they are reliable, faithful, practical, and people to turn to in a crisis. They can be counted on! Although they are steadfast, they are also very resistant to the idea of change. It makes them feel nervous…as if everything is going to collapse around them! Taureans always take a long time to get used to any major alterations in their life, and they they can feel dislocated by change. As a result, they tend to slip into routines that quickly become ruts, as they would rather know what each day will bring, even though it is boring or tedious…than risk getting upset when their regular schedule is disturbed.
