DEAR READERS…..We have been here at Rose Cottage in Chippewa Lake, Ohio since mid June, and we have enjoyed a wonderful, hot summer here!!!! We are now in the process of getting ready to head south! It is always a bittersweet time…..very sad to close up this dear little place filled with memories…but along with the sadness is the excitement of returning to Key West and that makes my heart sing! So get ready, we’ll soon be ba-a-ack!!!! Looking forward to seeing everyone collecting lots of hugs!

BRUCE MOORE NEWS…..Many of you already know that my good friend, Bruce Moore is facing a health challenge. He has been diagnosed with Stage Four Hopkins Lymphoma. He began his first treatment of chemo this past Tuesday at Johns Hopkins Hospital….a major health facility in the world. All went well and he is keeping a great attitude and is positive and upbeat. He is welcoming your love and support at this time and he is grateful to all who have sent him emails, messages on Facebook, cards, texts, etc. If you would like to mail him a card, please send it to him at 35 W. TENNESSEE WILLIAMS EXHIBIT:…..Admission is FREE….Self-guided tours are available to locals and visitors at the Tennessee Williams Exhibit located at 513 Truman just off Duval. Hours are 10 am to 5 pm…Mon.-Sat. Many new items are on display, including memorabilia collected while the Exhibit was on loan to the Museo Nacional De Bellas Artes in Havana, Cuba…..Also on display is Williams’ 1932 Univ. of Mo. Yearbook, Savitar, in which one of his early poems is given a full page. Videos provide info about the life & work of the iconic author who made KW home for 34 years. HUGH’S VIEW AT THE STUDIOS…..Over $300,000 has been raised for this project… but more is needed to make this dream a reality! The plan is to create a lovely Rooftop Garden atop the new Studios Bldg on Eaton St…..it will provide a marvelous panoramic view of Key West…and since La Concha shut its doors to us, it will be most welcome indeed.
