A TRIP TO BOUNTIFUL” OPENS AT WATERFRONT PLAYHOUSE, JAN.24!!!….. When I saw this wonderful play on Broadway I hoped and prayed that SOMEDAY, The Waterfront Playhouse would present it in Key West! And here it is! This is an American masterpiece about the universal pull that we all feel for “Home”…. It is about Carrie Watts…an elderly widow, trapped in a tiny apt. and living with her overprotective son and domineering daughter-in-law….all Carrie wants to do is return to her home in Bountiful one last time before she dies. TERRI WHITE NEEDS YOUR HELP!!!!… Dear Readers….Our dear friend, Terri White has suffered one setback after another. Soon after moving back to Key West in June, she suffered a serious heart attack and was airlifted to Miami. Then, very recently, she ended up in the ER with dehydration, anemia and renal failure. She was given several blood transfusions and during her ten day stay at the hospital, had countless tests. The results were not good. She has a rare blood disease called Little Chain Deposition Disease and Multiple Myeloma. The treatment of this very serious malady is chemotherapy and it is very costly. Unfortunately, Terri does NOT have insurance. Treatments are $1,500 a week plus $1,000 for prescriptions. She and partner, Donna Barnett, are doing everything possible to acquire financial aid, but to no avail. TERRI IS IN DIRE NEED OF YOUR HELP AT THIS CHALLENGING TIME. Future benefits to raise money are being planned, but until this happens, a GO FUND ME Account has been established to help her. Terri has done much volunteering for others in the community, and now she needs YOUR help. Please go to the Go Fund Me Site to contribute whatever you are able to contribute. Go to https://www.gofundme.com/terri-white-medical-fund?ssid=805222351&pos=1.

We love Terri and her great singing voice and we are very saddened for what she is going through during this Thanksgiving Season. I hope and pray that you will find it in your heart to be kind and generous. If you have any thoughts or suggestions, I ask that you please contact Donna Barnett at donnab410@aol.com. Thank you.

SADNESS PREVAILS….. We all have so much fun in Key West, that we sometimes lose sight of the sadness that also surrounds us. Please remember the dear mothers of two special friends, Carl McMackin and Denise Gant. Keep them in your thoughts and prayers as they go through their own personal grieving process. Also, I was deeply saddened to hear about the passing of very the delightful and dear, LiLianne Brouillard who died on Jan. 10. I met Lil and her husband Guy at the Bayview Tennis Courts long before we moved here some 19 or 20 years ago. They were a beloved part of the Tennis community and Lil never met a stranger. She was diagnosed with cancer in October and passed peacefully, surrounded by her adoring family. I attended the Memorial at St. Mary’s on Friday, and it was another reminder of how fragile life is…and how caring this community in Key West is. Lil touched many lives and hearts. She will be deeply missed.

BIRTHDAY/ANNIVERSARY LISTS….If you would like to be included in the Birthday and Anniversary Lists that I send out every month, please let me know your month and day by sending that info to me at kwlynda@bellsouth.net. There are special perks to being on the lists!!!! One of the perks is having your name in KONK Life on the day of your Birthday!

PRAYER CHAIN…..Please continue to remember the following in your thoughts and prayers…Bruce Moore…Faith Stashenko …Terri White …Bob Esty ….the friends and family of LiLianne Brouillard ….the friends and family of Carl McMackin on the loss of his beloved mother, Dorothy…..Kim Romano… Lee Knight… Lynda Scott …Frank and Francine Gren …the friends & family of Denise & Allen Gant on the loss of Denise’s mother …Maryann Reifschneider…Gail Leadbeter…Sherrey Welch …Marta White ….Walter Lepperd …Howard & Inez Casey…Wally Stevens …..Mary Lou Hoover…Kip Larson …Bill Lodermeir…Lenny Stevens …George Kling …Eric Weinberger … Rennetta Stevens …Richard and Betty Carraway …David Herndon …Lottie Domski …Frank Everhart …Anne McKee … Ron Burns …..Teresa Lawson … Zita DuPel ……. Bocdow. …Dee Dee Duecker … Karla Muir … Vincent Gregory …Tony Freese… Jennifer O’Lear …Margaret Taylor … Roland Ryper …Patrick Richards. Remember, there are many reasons that we pray…not just because people are ill…. I do believe that when we all send prayers and good vibes to those in need, those prayers mystically meet and surround those being prayed for. Sometimes we pray for miracles and the impossible….sometimes we pray to just cope with the results of what happens to those we are praying for. Sometimes we pray for strength to go on and to accept…sometimes we pray for thanksgiving. We are in this thing called ‘Life’ together….and we all have power within us to help our fellow man. Bless you for remembering our loved ones….Prayer changes things! Let me know if you know of anyone who should be added to this list.

PLEASE READ THIS ABOUT THE SOS FOUNDATION IN KEY WEST…..The SOS Foundation is celebrating 10 years of service to the community by launching a campaign with a goal to reach $10,000. What IS this foundation, you may ask….It is a food recovery program located throughout Monroe County in the form of food pantries and school meal programs. *** THE AQUARIUS PERSONALITY…JAN. 20 THRU FEB. 19 ***

Aquarians are totally different from every other sign….something sets them apart from everyone else. The typical Aquarian approaches life from a very different perspective to most people. Each Aquarian is completely original and innovative. For a start, they are totally independent. They follow the beat of a different drum and need to go their own way through life. Those who try to stop them or hold them back will soon discover how useless this policy is. If anything, it will make the Aquarian even more determined to do their own thing…and if no one else likes it, tough! Once an Aquarian has made up their mind about something, you will go blue in the face trying to persuade them to change it….they simply are not interested. This single-minded determination operates in every area of their life. However, they are very hard to predict…so even if you think you know how an Aquarian will react to something, they’ll probably take you by complete surprise and do the very opposite. This is all part of the fun of knowing an Aquarian. The present is much more of interest to an Aquarian than the past. They focus on the here and now rather than get caught up in what happened a week last Wednesday. An Aquarian is light years ahead of others in their thinking. As a result, they can seem like an iconoclast, possibly even a threat, because they have revolutionary theories or go against the tide of popular ideas. They are extremely intelligent and very rational…they do not take an emotional approach to life.

This is the friendliest sign of the Zodiac….they need a lot of friends…and to know they are around….though they are really only intimate with a very select group. When it comes to love, they need to choose a lover who is also a friend. It is hard for an Aquarian to love someone if they do not like them too. Their partner must be intelligent and a good conversationalist. An Aquarian must also need a partner who respects their need for independence. They hate when someone keeps tabs on them and needs to know their every move. They do not want to be joined at the hip with anyone. They need the freedom to come and go as they like. However, they do not want to give their partner the same freedom that they want for themselves! The best signs for an Aquarian is Libra or Sagittarius…possibly an Aries and a Gemini too.

In careers an Aquarian does not want to be stuck in a dead end job. They are attracted to charity and humanitarian work. Being self-employed appeals to Aquarians, as they thrive on being their own boss. They do not think anyone knows more than they do. They do not like taking orders from anyone they feel is inferior to them. And that’s the name of that tune!

We love our Aquarian Friends and Family Members!!!
